More than fine. Are you speaking about the 1GB or the 2GB version? They both can do it but the 2 GB might have a better stand against higher resolution textures when used on bigger monitors.
What's your Processor?

A 4870x2 will run ME2 just fine and they're trying to keep the specs nearly identical in ME3. Your brand new 6950 is going to crush the game. :-)

theres no way you'll need a Radeon 6950 for Mass Effect 3.
i used to had a GSO 9600(768 mb) when i first bought ME2 and it ran perfectly (40 - 50 FPS), and so far, Mass Effect 3 doesn't look like a huge step up, so i doubt you'll need such a card for it(although you might need a bit more processing power giving the larger scales).
for Mass Effect 2, well, like Rinpoche said, your card will crush the game.

As for Battlefield 3, well i can't say, they haven't revealed the official Requirements yet, but, rumors Strongly indicate that the Recommended Graphics card for BF3 will be the GTX 460 (which, in ATI, would be the equivalent of the HD 6850) of 1gb, so if that's true, then yes, it will run just fine.

Well, that depends on your resolution and the graphic settings. If you want all the eye candy on a full hd resolution, you might need a bit of "horse power".
'Recommended specs' are supposed to show you what you need to play the game without hickups on medium to high settings on medium resolutions.

It was first released December 15th 2010, and it should probably last a while. It's difficult to say just how long, though, until we see the specs for the next-gen consoles.

I don't know much about it, but I heard the 6950 is similar to the 6970 and you can unlock the 6950 to run like a 6970 in most cases. Also, you can always get a second one when it's cheaper and put it in crossfire to double to power.

december 2010.

it should last you, although, i have had bad luck with ATIs lately (3 of a my ATI cards, in a ROW, got burned), so i have switched to Nvidia, but, i used to have an ATI which lasted me for 4 years, back in 2002 i believe, so....
Maybe they just hate me now:crying:
