Game Crashes when I try to open store

Lately I've been having a problem whenever I try to open a store in a module. I am calling the "x2_am_store" script from a conversation, which should open the nearect generic NWN palette store. Instead, the game flickers for a moment, and crashes. This also happens sometimes when I try to open a container so I'm thinking it may be an item issue. The module is using the latest CEP haks.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

have you placed a merchant waypoint in the area?

If someone else tries to do the same thing do they crash also?

I had this once and it ended up being one player had a corrupted item icon that I was using.

Yes the merchant waypoint is in the area. I don't think it's an icon issue, as I can open up the store in the toolset and view the items. But it crashes in game.

Lightfoot, I think it may be an item issue after all. Following one of the suggestions in that thread, I created a new module with a test area with a bunch of containers, all different open scripts, and a generic store. There was no problem. I think a glitch with the CEP may be causing my game to crash, which is unfortunate, because I can't live without it. :(

I dout it opens a store from the palette.  Even if it did open one from the palette. there would be no such thing as one being nearest.  If the CEP did not modify the script it just open the nearest store.

If you know of one of the chests that is causing the problem open it and the store in the toolset and see what items they have in common.     If not just make a back op of the module and remove items from the store untill you can nerrow down what item it is.   If you find the item try modifing the item so it does not cause the crash then update all instances of the item in the game.

Lightfoot, I didn't mean to say the script opened the store from the toolset, I'm sorry for the confusion.I palced down a merchant WP in the area, right next to the merchant NPC.

I removed the CEP patch hacks and it appears to be working fine now, knock on wood.

Removing the CEP fixed it?
just to be clear, did you add CEP items to the store, then update the CEP? Is that when the bug occured? If so you need to tell the CEP team that they have a crashing bug.
