Hello there!

Just bought a new computer i5, GTX 560 &  windows7. When I install DA2 I was asked if I wanted to install "new" direct X drives? I dont want that cause I bet there are NOT DX11 wich I have in my new WIndows/Nivida.

And when I try to run game it says I need to reinstall my DA2 due to old drives?

How can my DX11 be older than DX on DA2 instal packege? I bougt DA2 from store 2 months ago?

Do I must install an older DX on my new computer/windows/GTX 560? and wich DX would DA2 install for me then? ANd what if any other program wants DX11 then?

Anyone, please?

More exactly it says when I install DA2:
/b"The required version of DirectX was not found: (directX june 2010)"/b

Now, could that be a newer version of DX11 that I just bougt last week?

Installing Direct X from DAII will not downgrade the program on your computer. Just go ahead and re-install DAII along with DIrect X.

it's nothing to do with youir version of directx11 it's the Directx runtime which you can download here http://www.microsoft...ls.aspx?id=8109 install and the game should start fine. aparently the game doesn't install it properly for whatever reason so you need to do it manually.

i am having the same issue but i already have DX11 installed. I graphics card is 8400M GT and its version is 7.15.11.128 which after checking says is the updated version for that adaptor.
Please advice...thanks.

The official minimum Geforce in the Requirements is the 7900 GS. An 8400 is way below that, not above it. The "8" was for the year, not the power, and a "9" for power was high, while a "4" was very low, too low.

As you can see, the 8400 has roughly one third of the performance of the minimum.

Indeed. DX9 and DX11 are not backwards compatible so both can be installed on the same machine.
