So, that's probably the reference, as far as making things go "boom".

Of course, salamanders could mean Darkspawn. They are vaguely reptilian. And Sandal seems to have a knack for making them go "boom," to a degree.

........because he is an OGB? an archdemon reborn? part dragon??Filament wrote...
Sandal is a salamander.
So he wants more of his kin for what? A salamander army? A wallop-mallet team? To form a giant salamander robot?

He's a shapeshifting salamander and your former student, remember? He wants more salamanders for the same reason you wanted Morrigan.
Pure speculation and fluff, I say!

This blasphemy alone, plus the glaring lack of dwarven women, is not something I will soon forget, or easily forgive. <_<

Fire: salamanders
Water: sylphs
Earth: gnomes
Air: sprites
But I more just thought he wanted to eat a salamander, because he seems like he would.

Exactly. Sandal is just asking for a snack.Masako52 wrote...

The "boom" that Bodahn speaks of is flatulence, not enchantment.
I love that he's the one you automatically accuse of swinging on the chandelier. Not one of your crazy friends.berelinde wrote...
Sandal always asks for salamanders in my games, and in my headcanon, Hawke always gives them to him. He doesn't care where the boom comes from. He just wants Sandal to be happy. Yes, he's probably an enabler and spoiling Sandal rotten, but he doesn't care. The kid has had a hard life and deserves a little innocent fun.
And you know he really is the one doing it, when you're out of the house.

I could be wrong, but I could swear that if Hawke is romancing Merrill, the elf mage is the one blamed for the chandelier escapades.devSin wrote...

Now, Sandal is known to put his finger in the soup. But maybe he was just sampling.

I guess it depends on when the next game is set, but it's not clear that he'd live long enough to return, nor that he'd take Sandal with him even if he did go back.

Romance Merrill. Then she starts swinging on the chandelier.

Besides, I don't really think Sandal wants to share. :-)
