I'm playing at easy difficulty, and if you need anythin else them autoattacks (heals, CCs and Hastes are useless) you're inept and doing something very very wrong.

I don't think BM is supeeri0rz!!, actualy I rarely use it in my builds, but I wouldn't go that far and telling people "BM sucks! It's useless!!!" or "If you use BM then your a big N00b!" (paraphrasing here).

First of all, I said it was useless for "me".  Read more closely before you quote someone.  Secondly, "If you use BM you're a noob"?  Really? Your paraphrasing sucks because I never said that at all lol.  All I did was make claims that BM isnt "essential".  Never even implied folks are noobs for using it.

do you really want attention that badly, or are you just that unintelligent?

'i don't like blood magic' is fine, if that's how you feel, nobody can take that from you.

'blood magic isn't good because of this, this, and that', however, is a statement people can, will, and have proven to be wrong, and you continued to pull inane arguments out of god knows where, for god knows why.

don't sit there and play the victim because you don't know what you're talking about, and people told you as much.

So now you're saying that I cant accomplish 90% of what you can do with a BM build with another build? Seriously? Because the claims Ive made, I've made them because I've used the methods Ive stated to a very grand effect.  As far as being "unintelligent" or "wanting attention" Remember, you made the personal attack not me.  But you can feel however you want to feel.  Just because YOU cant hack it with the methods Ive stated (and used) doesnt mean no one else can.  At this point, Im not going to dispute the BM usefulness issue because again, you're proving my original post of how this is obviously a VERY "Pro-Blood Magic" thread. So thank you for that.   As for playing victim? Who's playing a victim because Im sure as hell not.  I had left this thread hours ago.  But nooooooooooooo.  Someone decided to fan the flame again and couldnt leave well enough alone.  You want this particular discussion to die at this point, just stop replying to me because I can promise you I wont lose sleep over any of your opinions of me

If you cant take what I originally stated as what it is, an opinion and nothing more.  Then Im not the one with "issues".  Which again, proving one of my points of how if an opinion differs from what is the general consensus on these forums, you get attacked and told that your opinion is essentially bs.  So again, thanks for proving that point.

If you truly had left this thread how did you even notice that "someone decided to fan the flame again"? Really try to read what you type before posting, if you have the ability to see such inconsistencies at least I mean.

Ditto. Hard to test though coz I only have a level 50 file and a level 28 file. I'm guessing it's between that.

Yup. I need buttloads of casting power if I'm not doing companion quests/legacy. I typically turn on death syphon when I've used some of my mana already but I still find it lacking even w/ just heroic aura on. I really also want to fit in rock armor/arcane defense because when stupid archers get in a few hits before I can CC them, it hurts. Or I get wiped. That wasn't much of a problem w/ blood magic and the superior hp. W/ a party setup however, yeah I could see how it'd work. Especially w/ a rally source. I'mma try pumping will instead of dex for now to see if it will perform better.

Blood magic is by no means essential; an elemental/force mage with a few points in primal/spirit healer is perfectly viable. Its just that a blood mage build is objectively better than other builds. And as for aradace, no, you probably cant accomplish 90% of what Arelexx has done without blood mage. And to be fair, you probably couldnt do it with blood mage either.

Blood magic is not essential. The important thing is to run three mages + 1 archer and have two hastes running. You will wipe the floor with anything.

You can dump the spec point in SH for the passive mana boost, or you can drop 6 points for vitality. I personally only activate SH to revive a dead companion. the rest of the time a regular heal will do fine. Just spec Anders with basic heal, and make him an offensive damage dealer, and skip panacea.

Gravitic Ring pretty much lets you shut your brain off.

I'll throw in my 2 cents that BM is completely optional. Mages are so powerful and versatile that you can use almost any combinations of skill trees and be successful. One reason I've always loved mages in almost every RPG is that can play 4 mages and never have to use the same tactics.

I would say that..

Force Mage
Blood Mage
Elemental
Primal
Spirirt
Creation

are all veryyy powerful

Entropy and Magic are also very useable but moreso as a 3-4 point splash imo. SH just seems boring. I'm more of the fireball to the grill kinda mage. Pick what YOU like and if you can beat the game on whaever difficulty you chose, then taddah SUCCESS.
