It just makes sense.  From an earlier threat about Tali, i learned that the community is quite divided on whether Tali's face should appear more human or more alien.  So i think that Bioware shouldn't have her face appear at all.  That would also likley avoid a possible civil war within the talimancers if bioware chose to reveal her face.

What do you think?

Would it be a smart move for Bioware to reveal her face?  Or should it just be left ambiguous?

I prefer her as she is now but it realy doesnt make much difference if she is revealed or not. I like her with or without mask.

I agree with OP. Mystery is much better than making everything known. If you show her face naturally a portion of the Tali fanbase won't like it, and probably stop liking Tali altogether. Shallow, I know, but it will happen. At least if the face isn't shown the fanbase can be content to leave it up to the imagination, make their own conclusions, draw fan art based off their own personal interpretations of how she would look, etc. Leaving it up to the imagination leads to millions upon millions of different possibilities, as opposed to having to deal with one set reality.

Over 5 times more people want to see her face. So they should show. But BW already made a decision we just don't know what. So there is no point of arguing.

I do believe it should be shown, only under two circumstances however so that those whom enjoy the mystery can be kept out of the loop. (( Doesn't matter, a few days later those who agree and don't want to see her face will look for pictures out of curiosity anyway.))

1.) A scene where Tali dies, she'll want to show Shepard her real face, not just the mask and glowing eyes.
2.) Romance. She's removed it once, for Shepard's eyes only. This time, it'll be for the eagerly awaiting audience.

After the tease of ME2 they need to show it. After that happened the mystery exists only for the player, in game there is no mystery, either for what Tali looks like or her people. And mysteries that are there only for the audience are just plain annoying.

I completely disagree. No matter what they make Tali's face look like, they wouldn't make it ugly. Sure I have a preference on the matter but I don't really care one way or another. I like Tali because of her personality, not because of what she may or may not look like.

I still think there should be an ingame option to see her face or not. That way both parties can be appeased. If you want to see her face, then you can, but if you want to leave her anonymous, you can do that as well.

its better not to put her face in there, i say instead just show us what a quarian might look like, but dont show talis because no matter what she looks like, people are going to **** and **** and ****.

There's already a civil war about Tali's face. Not reveiling it wouldn't change anything except create a lot of new threads complaining they didn't show her face.

Maybe your right.  However if her face was shown, you would have many threads complaning about how her face was shown.  There really is no win-win situation.  I feel sorry for Bioware.  Should have shown Tali's face in ME1, made her extremely ugly, never have her be a LI in ME2, and then she wouldn't be one of the most popular characters.
