I always reclaim Spectre status.... however with Arrival and ME3.... I can easily see that being chucked out the window...

Or... Shepard is the VS Spectre's mentor? I'd find that highly amusing :)

I'm sure my Shepard will be traumatized at being stripped of her Spectre status and all associated council support. Those guys have been so helpful these past few years.

Much saracasm this one has.:bandit:

People always saying Shepard might have to take Kaidan/Ashley orders, i don't some people realize that ONLY Kaidan outranks Shepard if he/she were to be reinsated in the Alliance. Cuz Ashley is still two ranks below him/her in ME3 (Shepard originally being Lt. Commander, she's 2nd t.), unless they don't give Shepard back his/her original rank, Kaidan outranked him/her by one in ME2.

In the ME3 earth demo, Andersson (I believe he got a promotion but I'll just call him captain) actually follows Shepard for a time. Now that's a superior alliance officer following a subordinate (technically, Shepard isn't even in the alliance at all though he may have had his alliance rank reinstated at that time). I don't see Kaidan (with his staff commander rank versus Shepard's Lt commander rank) taking control of anything since he damn well knows Shepard is the one who commands exceptional loyalty and is renowned for getting the job done. I seriously doubt anyone will try to order Shepard around, seeing as what he/she has proven to be capable of. In short: Rank does not matter.
