So, I'm reading all these threads, and it occures to me just how many of Shepards problems could have been solved by the purchase of a hemlet camera.  I mean, seriously.  I can order one from Amazon for $250 bucks.  It will record in 1080P and comes with a memory card.  For another $30 I can get a waterproof case.

With this amazing piece of technology, Shepard would have had proof that Saren believed in the Reapers, confirmation from Vigil on Ilos of their existance, a record of the derelict reaper.  Her conversation with Harbinger in Arrival, Confirmation of the collectors actions on Horizon, a record of her interactions with TIM, a record of her discussions with Legion.

In short, a way to prove all the stuff people she says that people call crazy.

Heck.  Shouldn't this be built into hardsuits by this point?

The helmet on this DLC armor already has cameras, but Shepard forgets to turn them on.

he's commander shepard, not god damn peter parker. he's not gonna stop to take pictures.

shepard doesnt shoot pictures or video.
shepard shoots bullets, into people.

thats what shepard does.

Armour in ME (at least armour that's used by Shepard and co.) has suit recordings. Shepard is just too much of an idiot to use them.

It'd be dumb to aquire undeniable proof of what's going on? video logs of shepards missions would have had a real impact on how the story unfolded. Two bad there's only two camera in all of ME, one died with the soldier no Eden Prime, the other belongs to a certain reporter...

Even with a suit feed, I think the Council would have dismissed his evidence as total fabrication. That's how it fits with the plot I suppose.

Actually Ashley even confirms that there are cameras in the helmets during ME1. It's a well known plot hole that bioware even pointed out in their writing.

Then again however, it's been mentioned that video editing software is something to be careful of in the future, but still.

I simply cover up the plot-hole with some made up fan fluff: When he talks to Sovereign, the technology in the room is sort of taken over by the Reaper (I mean look what he did to the lighting)! I'd like to imagine that a sort of technology/communications blackout appears whenever in the direct attention or proximity of a Reaper.

Well, Saren was clearly out of his mind. Even if Shepard had video logs of his conversation with Saren, that's not proof of the existence of the Reapers. His words could be interpreted as his mental state collapsing, or the proof of some new geth weapon.

I also think Shepard was the only one to understand the VI on Ilos. If he were to record it, it'd probably just show him conversing with some static spouting some nonsensical language.

The conversation with Sovereign however.. would go a long way to help his case.

Yea, I was thinking about this the other day.

Shepard is part of N7, a special operations unit, which means it's as much about gathering intel as it is actually fighting the enemy.

He should have access to sophisticated intel gathering systems, uplinks, etc.

You people really think that in the future it won't be possible to completely fake such a recording? The council would have no reason to trust the footage.

Actually, there's an extremely rare conversation between Ash and Shep where Ash mentions that their suits record everything.  Why this is never brought up to the Council?  Who knows...

also, the council isnt questioning that people have talked about the reapers. they're questioning shepards sanity and believe hes being manipulated by saren.

if the council believe saren is trying to manipulate shepard as they say multiple times, its easy to assume that they'd believe saren would fake some VI's and stuff to mess with shepard and to throw him off the trail.

Shepard uses up all the space on his camera for his youtube videos "OMG OMG Turian falls down stairs!" And "Lol! I Hid Tali's Helmet!"
