Luke (and Bioware team at large), is there any hope the PS3 version will be patched to allow us to inspect/examine (and ideally wield) loot at the time we pick it up (as exists on all other platforms)?
This seemingly small bit of missing functionality is a big time waster over the course of the campaign.
Thanks!
Examine/Inspect items at pick-up time?

are you talking about the fact that we can't examine armor, or weapon stats from an enemies body. it is annoying. it made inventory management a little annoying. In Origins we were able to look and compare stats. This would be an awesome patch for the PS3.

Hey Rocket, yes, that's exactly what I'm talking about!
From what I've read, it's only missing on PS3...

wow, that's ridiculous! why does such a killer game console get the bad end of the bargain. this should definitely be fixed in a patch. If they did it for everything else then they should do it for the PS3.

Are you kidding me? This is available on 360 but NOT on PS3? I had no idea!
Do XBox users get to map "Hold Party" to a button too?
Next thing will be someone telling me that XBox users get to switch between ranged and melee weapons (like in DA:O) on-the-fly...

I think that's only on the PC. I'm not sure though. But really, I find it ridiculous that the PS3 gets shunned all the time. there really should be a patch that fixes this issue. Its annoying when you are trying to find out what items to keep, and which you should leave alone.

Two weeks and no one from Bioware can be bothered to comment. Lovely.

funny, I agree. I think it would really be sweet for PS3 users to be able to compare items. It was in Origins, why not DA: II.
it really just doesn't add up.

okay, just got a message! Xbox users can't inspect items either. Can the PC users inspect items?

Yes. Hovering the mouse pointer over the item brings up a little window showing you the items stats and the stats of the item that the character you are controling at the time is using.

so PC users can examine items from treasure chest and corpses! That's ridiculous! Definitely a big patch, with item examination would be awesome. Its just sad it wasn't there to start with.

They don't care anymore; EA technical support is now telling me that the game issues I'm having are Sony's problem, that I should give them call. EA sucks, and BioWare sold-out.

i believe the way patches work, is first: Bioware is told by the public, that there is a problem! Then it is told by Bioware, too EA. Then EA gives the go to go ahead and fix the problem. Once the problem is patched, EA then goes to Sony, and Sony gives the release date for the patch.
I believe this is how it goes. I am no expert, so I am not sure, but once again, I think this is the basic form of the process.
