While I'm waiting. I certainly would not have been upset had they expanded on where they left off, that's what RPG's do. They had more than enough room to create a plot with Flemmeth/Morrigan.

Edit: I remember ending the game being excited about how my choice to have Alistair impregnate Morrigan would affect my gameplay in the future. Unfortunately I'll never get to know.

What is this high horse business you keep accusing people of?

You mean the repeated use of "fanboi" and being condesending is your normal mode of communication. Got It!

Sig Ed was $59. at launch and sold and advertised as PRE ORDER ONLY!  WILL NOT BE AVAIL AFTER PRE ORDER.  When AMazon sold it for $35-39 6 months later, Bioware said "so what, they can do that"

False advertising.  The entire selling point of Sig Ed was LIMITED TIME , PRE ORDER ONLY.  Which was patently false.  Of course saying this means i might get banned now.   Whatever, I speak the truth.  They turned a blind eye to the blatant fact that the Sig Ed was sold and advertised as a limited edition only.  That's why I and many others bought it, because it was ONLY AVAIL for pre-order.

Oh what a joke. This is what Amazon does, they buy whole sale games like the collector's editions and then  resell them later. Kind of like a concert being sold out, then a new section of seating opens up or another show is added. It's not false advertising on Bioware's part, but Amazon betting on the market and overbuying so they've have Sig editions to sell later. Blaming Bioware isn't going to do a darn thing and has nothing to do with DA 2 as a gameplay experience.

Which turned out to be a lie and salt in the wound.  Bioware got my money, see the registered games on the side?  They got me.  Congrats Bioware, you got my $60, another $5 etc... I bought all the DAO DLC except for Witch, etc...

If I was less than thrilled with the end product of DA2, that's just how it goes sometimes.  No worries.

But you also sold me a Sig Ed under a false premise.  I take that personally.  The Bioware line is "Amazon has a right to sell unsold stock".   Fine, let amazon sell whatever they want (I'm talking amazon, not "marketplace sellers")

But what about the premise that the only way to get Sig Ed was to pre-order and the entirety of my purchase at that time was under that pretense?  Was that not a lie?  Was that not false?

What say ye to this?

The Dragon Age II BioWare Signature Edition Pre-order Dragon Age II
before January 11, 2011 and receive an automatic upgrade to the BioWare
Signature Edition - a special, collector's edition version of the game
that contains loads of additional content, exclusives, and other perks.
This special edition version of Dragon Age II is only available for pre-order before January 11, so pre-order now.
The full BioWare Signature Edition contents include:
Dragon Age 2

List Price:
$39.99

Price:
$36.99[/b]
& eligible for free shipping with Amazon Prime

Again you missed in my post prior where I said that Amazon does this kind of thing, it's kind of their bag to be able to get limited edition items after the period of their sales is up in normal retail. Plus they are the only ones who are, and their stock is going to be limited due to the fact that Bioware DID PRODUCE a limited number of sig editions.

I went back to the last page to glance at some of your posts, and you look like a person whose opinion I'd respect.

So why are you still arguing here?

There's nothing good that's going to happen in this thread. You're not going to change any minds. You're not going to educate anybody here.

People aren't here to argue facts. They're here to gripe and complain. Just leave them to it, since apparently the mods are all on vacation.

Because Bioware wrote this
"""This special edition version of Dragon Age II is only available for pre-order before January 11, so pre-order now.""""

Yes, and on January 11th they stopped having it available for pre-order. So what is the problem here?

The problem, is only on my end.  Bioware has their money, they see no problem.  I bought the Sig Ed under the *premise* (clearly laid out in black and white)  that it would never again be available and I was getting exclusive content.  My mistake.  I won't make it again.

As has been explained to you time and time again, if a retailer chose to order more stock of the Signature Edition than they actually had outstanding orders for, or if people chose to cancel their pre-order and leave them with extra stock, that is the retailer's business. You were not bamboozled. You were not lied to. We said that we would not be making any more copies of the Signature Edition after the pre-orders were filled, and we didn't. Whatever stock still exists in the retail pipeline is the business of the retailer in question. It is their property, and they can dispose of it as they see fit.

Anyways. Since this thread has degenerated into bickering and namecalling, I'm locking it, with a few bans handed out to those who feel that requirements for civility and reasonable discussion don't apply to them.
