Erm, here's my Neverwinter Nights 2 costume, if anybody's interested? I made a video of it to submit into the Bioware Costume Contest because of the depressing lack of Neverwinter in the contest.
Neverwinter Nine with a City Watch Cloak
Sorry for making a new thread, I couldn't figure out anywhere else where it'd belong?
Feel free to make constructive criticism, I'm looking for what to improve when I alter the costume in the future!

Nice job. I like it better than the Chantry outfits which are the closest comparisons style wise from the contest. How come you weren't in the contest?
P.S.: if that is your property I'm insanely jealous. I'm trying to figure out how the water shots get that silvery blue colour. Is it an artificial lake or pool? Almost like glacier river water. Hard to see.
P.S.S.: I wonder what happened to the Neverwinter Nine in fourth edition after the spell plague.

There's an online costume contest, the deadline is August 20th. And thank you so very much!
And it's not my property, it's a local hotel nearby where a convention was held. I do wish I had a lake like that in my backyard! I live in Florida, trust me. That's not glacier water. Hahaha

I do a lot of sewing. I like your costume very much for two reasons: First blue is one of my favorite colors and second, because it's a pretty good representation of a Never Winter Nine uniform. That said, I would pay a bit more attention to the edging of the costume, both at the cape and the tunic. The hems are showing pretty clearly on the inside. I'd give those hems a hold down stitch so that they hold down against the fabric and not stick up or 'flap' as you move around in them.
It's a bit more work, but it's more comfortable usually and makes for better appearance after a day of Cos-Play, or a convention outing. I love the emblems. Very Nice. I don't make specific costumes for NWN or anything and don't know if I'd bother, but I do make costumes for Renn Faires and fantasy faires. I tend to do all hand stitching to keep it period.
Good looking work, you should be proud, irrespective of your placing in the contest.

Thank you! It's my first ever costume I've ever sewn from hand, and afterwords my friends told that I was supposed to double-hem. It's a learning experience. I'm planning on redoing the costume because there are other things I'm not happy with, but I adore this costume too much to leave it the way it is. The competition has really nice costumes, but I'm just happy that I've entered something from one of my favorite games. Thank you so much for the advice!

One thing I do like very much is the way the cloak falls and curves at the shoulders. I would keep those lines if you make any changes. The colours and materials also are very nice.
Maybe some high res photos would help, but I didn't see anything that any sewing type finishes would improve. I think you can make it look too perfect and loose some of the historical look to it (make it look too machine made).
The cloak clasp is also very impresive. It's a nice compliment to the costume.
Why not insert a link to the costume contest. Hopefully your post will rally a few more entries from NWN2 crew. Maybe dno can crack out his knitting needle and make us a Dwarf touque.

That's the link to the contest on facebook and this
is the link to the YouTube video with all the information! All you have to do is make a video and make it into a video response!
And thank you so much for the praise! I had to hand stitch the belt, but most of it is using a sewing machine. It's stronger and faster than doing it by hand. And I sure hope more people enter! That'd be great!
