Now this is a great response. Logical, honest, etc. THANK YOU for being upfront and to the point. You are, however, incorrect that I started it for one purpose. You answered the question, and I respect that fully. I simply do not think the nerd rage Tali-geeks are as intelligent/rational as you are.

I am fully capable of giving you an answer to your questions, but I don't think you're worth the time or will understand or accept anything I say, because of your "lulz" attitude.

If you had actually used a vocabulary that doesn't belong in the sandbox at the local daycare, more people would've felt compelled to answer.

Ever thought of that? No? Too bad.

Obviously I am "worth the time" as you have posted here multiple times.

Well, the world always DOES need more janitors since quick thinking and rational explanation are obviously way beyond your ability.

It has nothing to do with agreement. It has to do with a SIMPLE QUESTION that nobody seems to either know an answer to, or are too embarrassed to answer. I will make this simple:
WHY....DO.....YOU.....WEIRDO'S.....HAVE....SUCH....A....LOVE....FEST....FOR....A VIDEO GAME.....CHARACTER.....(as in "wanna get dirty IRL") WITH CHICKEN FEET....AND...A...MASK?

Did I make it simple and easy to follow? I have a feeling some of these guys force their boyfriends to wear Tali suits and masks, and NOT for Halloween Image IPB

And why are you acting so weird just because some people like a fictional character, which is really not the first time that have happened? Are you a weirdo too? I think you are.

Nice hypocrisy you got going here.

You consider a person a weirdo because they simply want to know reasoning behind a VIDEO GAME character love fest and yet you dont find it weird that people have said love fest? Man oh man you are one backasswards dude, arent you?

Of course he doesn't hes in the same fanbase.

So you are defending the stuff stated in the past? Seems like it. Why cant you realize that there is a small sect of people who are obsessed with this character (IRL)? It is quite obvious.

And you act like you know people you obviously don't. Can't you realize that?

Yet you go by a few posts and judge everyone by them.
Youve already decided that the OP is stupid and beyond your great intellect yet you keep responding.
The irony is you like using words like Hypocrosy and insulting when your guilty of the exact same thing.

Oh yeah, I know there's some weird-ass people on the internet. I mean... it's the internet. I was just saying that those particular instances weren't the examples you would be looking for. The first subject "Talimancer" didn't actually exist, and the second one (dextro-sweat analysis) is actually a pretty cool guy that still hangs around BSN and everything which is why I feel defensive about that one. He's just not creepy.

Anyway, I kind of prefer Tali and Garrus as the romances for the two Sheps because they're the only recurring relationships that didn't like, immediately happen in the game they were introduced. They were introduced, but had to develop a relationship with Shepard in the first game prior to realizing their feelings for him or her in the second game. I like that.

Dont ever, for one second attempt to spout legal terminology with me as I will shred you into oblivion. It is not Libel....not even close.

Anyhow, once AGAIN, I asked the question here, and you refer me to another site because you are obviously too afraid to simply put your ideas and thoughts down here. I get it, you are a coward, next....

Libel is attempting to degrade a name by using false written statements, the OP of this thread.

It is not another site, it is another thread. I can understand if you don't want to actually put forth any effort to understand, but if you want a real answer then that is what you will have to do. If you wanted information about the second world war, you don't ask the relative of a friend of the soldier who was there. You read his journal. The best I can give you directly is it is thats the way it is. People like Tali because she is Tali.

Also, insults do not get you anywhere but into the ban pile. I suggest stopping.

Opinions are legal, this is an opinion. Libel must be done in malicious (why do I even bother as you have proven - more than any on this thread to be an absolute idiot/coward) manner(s) as to smear the name of the person involved. It cannot, however, be done against an internet name as I have not used your actual real name and it has not impacted you and your daily life. Get it? Quite simple really....

Ok I get it, you want me to read another post to "understand". I am simply confused why you yourself cannot conjur up your OWN thoughts and idea's about this issue. You seem to want to pass opinions on to what others have conveyed. Am I right on this? You are incapable of expressing your idea's or expressing your likes/dislikes? If that is not correct then, by ALL means, share your thoughts. If not, move along as I am not going to look elsewhere because I am too lazy to do so, and there is no reason as I asked the question here and can get the response here.

As far as the insult quasi "threat". How is this for you. Shut up you complete and utter dork loser. If you are too cowardly to defend a simple issue about a VIDEO GAME character and seek help for forum moderators when the original question was legitimate then I cannot even imagine how pathetic RL must be. You think I dont realize that several of you have already spammed the report button? That is norm for pukes who cannot think for themselves.

It was a legit question that turned into a debate which produced some great responses, and some aggravated ones. Think for yourself and come up with ideas on your own without needing the assistance of others and maybe things will get better for you. Oh noe's......LIBEL omg omg

Im a Talimancers that is to say she's my Canon love interest. Personally, I think tali is a great character now if you don't agree that's fine with me . I'm not going to argue sure there are plenty of Talimancers who would fight you to the death over it.

But it seems to me that this thread was made for the sole purpose of creating some sort of blood war again and when incited some people are always going to take the bait. That's just the way it is.

Nah, it was a reasonable enough question to ask- especially if you don't follow BSN or twitter for news and information about things like that. There's always the chance that Comiccon was the first time that fan was actually learning things about ME3, not everyone's life revolves around it.

So people aren't allowed to defend character's they enjoy? I'm fine with people disagreeing with my opinion, but they should still be allowed to state what their opinion is. As long as they are not stating that the other individual is wrong because he/she doesn't agree with them, then it should be fine.

I disagree with Tali's view on the Geth and I believe that they try to find some peace, but there are people who think otherwise, are they wrong? No, we just have different viewpoints on the topic.

It takes me 10 minutes to know over 50% of a person based on words they use (in this case), ability/inability to say things, double talk, and (IRL) expressions. So yes, I do know them. Of course, I can understand how a person as limited as you would find this impossible but logic and experience are a great thing and totally possible when one doesnt devote him/herself to a VIDEO GAME character as a RL love affair.

How to Make Rational Arguments : by medcsu

1) Make sure your oppenent understands that their reasoning is highly inferior compared to yours. You may like to try calling them names. Idiot and coward are my favorites, but feel free to come up with your own.

2) Hyperbole, hyperbole, HYPERBOLE.

3) If you can't understand the first two points, you're a cowardly idiot. Stop reading this and prepare for a life of cleaning garbage.

Examples of combining points 1 and 2 can be found below.

"The 2-3 people who have convinced themselves they are actually intelligent decided to attack, and my counter attack decimated them."

Notice how I say that they "convinced themselves" that they are intelligent. This implies that they are not actaully intelligent, and serves as a ingenious way of insulting them (#1).

I also state that my counter attack "decimated" them. Hyperbole (#2).

Pff. Speak for yourself. I have yet to see your "rational explenation" on the matter beyond petty insults and then doing the incredibly old "holier-than-thou" routine.

Different people like Tali on a different level. Some people like her because of her character, some like her as a squadmate. Some might have different reasons to like or dislike her on a roleplaying level, but I can't really sum them all up, since they all are playing in different ways.

That's it.

Just because you saw some idiot post something you found insulting or laughable doesn't make everyone of the same group of people idiots. That's generalizing, which is just moronic to try and bring into a reasonable discussion.

I mean, I can generalize too with ease, but I choose not to, because that accomplishes absolutely nothing beyond flaming.

How dare you...after all the defense I have done for you!

In truth, my newer posts are responses, plain and simple. I would much have preferred this to be a simple ask/answer. My original insults were specifically based to the "doll" or "sweat" bunch.

Then, all of a sudden, the 2-3 people who have convinced themselves they are actually intelligent decided to attack, and my counter attack decimated them. Reapers have no chance OMG!

that said if it was not for LotSB I would have romanced Tali. She has some of the best romance dialogue out there especially her monologue about how she watched shepard silently for a long time

I would debate as to whether or not it can be done to a group on the internet, but that is not the issue to discuss here.

Your consistant insulting of everyone who disagrees with you, and praising posts that do relatively little to answer your question only confirm the statements that you are just trolling at this point. If you want a true defining answer you will have to look for it. You will get half truths at best from here.
I chose to support Tali because of her personality, situation, and general...feeling? of her character. The second I knew she was a love interest I canceled my plans of having none and made quick work of the first half of the game. To be honest, I don't care for ME2's (or me1, for that matter) gameplay. If I wanted to shoot things I would play crysis. I enjoy Mass Effect 2 for its character interaction, and I enjoy Tali's character. I don't care about physical appearance, I'm not a neanderthal and I certainly hope that other people can agree with that choice. If not, well, sucks to be you.
As per your edit, enjoy the ban :)

I find it hilarious because you think you know me completely as a person and know all my opinions on the matter based on my limited knowledge of the English language (it's not my native language), and just decides to repeat the same garbage over and over again.

You are hysterical!!!  Nice thread you have going, quite funny, must be great for the ego.  All the fun of an elementary school playground, none of the logic of even a 6 year old.  Keep up the good work.

Protip: if you want interesting, reasonable discussion, don't start with flinging insults, no matter how "worthy" you deem your target.

Protip 2: you're on a freakin' video game board trying to stir a pot, who needs to reevaluate their life more?  A Talimancer, or...

I am holier than thou. I am better than you, and that is in every possible facet of life, game, whatever. That is why I posted and you claimed you didnt care, yet continued to post in response after saying "goodnight", etc.

HOWEVER, that isnt what this post is about and it seems you are making it about that. Have some confidence in yourself my man. Just think of what Tali will say if she finds out you are a man of low self esteem. Women dont like weak men, true story.

Anyhow, thank you for attacking and answering the question with a response. I understand and respect that response (I really do).
