cod 2 sucked
cod3 best,but multiplayer sucked
codmw allright in some ways
cod4 a zombie fps addition with only one map for free. meh
codmw2 too much bada**s mother fu****ry
black ops oh dont get me started

ps i still never see any blacks in call of duty games
but halo branched out with black marines

The WWII CODs fair enough but I wholeheartedly disagree about Modern Warfare and the ones that came after.

On my list, I'd probably put the Halo Series, The Gears of War Series and the Final Fantasy Series. They all were really dull and offered nothing new in gameplay.

I gave my reason purely because it popped into my head. Did you really not read that? If it's the only way to save the world from the horror of DA2 well then so be it.

I'd also like to add Assassin's Creed series mainly because of the crap drm I had to face when I first bought the games.

Yea and it's pretty much like every other  war FPS out there(I beleive Battlefield got there first). Tru it introduced things like health regeneration but I'm sick of fans going on about it like it's the Holy Grail, I found it very boring(yes, I have played it)


I would also say Worldf of Warcraft but I like the RTS Warcraft so that's a no go.

Many might say Diablo, since it and its sequel can be seen as such an offence to the isometric CRPG tradition. Furthermore, to add insult to injury: they became more popular than basically any isometric CRPG before or since. I do like Diablo though.

On a personal level I'd like to eradicate Halo, since it made the Xbox succeed, which in turn lead to internet becoming a big deal with consoles, which turn lead consoles into becoming more like PCs, which in turn robbed the PC segment of the market a core piece of its up to then unique identity, which in turn hurt the PC market, which in turn lead to many, many great PC franchises into becoming consolized bastardizations.

I like Halo as a game, I just hate the effect it ended up having on the market. It would have probably happened anyway at one point or another, but Halo certainly sped the process up. For instance, we might have had a PC lead Deus Ex 2 in the alternate world where Halo never existed...

Call of Duty. I mean I got the first (+ UO) and 2, even Modern Warfare 1, but it was from exactly that point that COD went really mainstream and now every damn company wants to emulate the success of that series by basically trying to design their games so that any random f*cktard can play it.

Call of Duty, Rock Band, Guitar Hero or any sports game that is released every year slightly changed.

CoD, Killzone, Halo, Resistance, Battlefield/Bad Company.

I actually like these titles but they've encouraged a generation of games that are about 6 hours long with too much emphasis on multiplayer.

Metal Gear Solid. I just don't get it. Ridiculously long and cheesy cutscenes, indecipherable plot, and (IMO) terrible gameplay.

Oh yeah, that's right! And don't forget about the chameleon armor. One of my favorite moments was giving Snake a really nice argyle-looking hotel wallpaper outfit.

Good call. Every new iteration destroys the legacy a bit more.

I'd throw in FIFA too. Every year it comes out and every year another part of the game is broken.
