The Witcher
If you could eliminated any game series from existence, which one would it be?

CoD. Although widely popular, CoD has set a terrible example for developer creativity - why waste resources on a unique game when the masses will pick up just about any modern day shooter?

Totally CoD. I can't even consider any other series with that one alive

Anyone said Dragon Age yet? No? Oh well, I'll throw that one in the bubbling pot of hatred.

Cool. But I like to pretend I was the instigator.

Final Fantasy from X-2 onwards is pretty bad. XII was kind of decent.

You just don't say things like that on an RPG dominated forum.
What is your beef with the Witcher? Have you played the second one? It was a a fantastic title.

You have to respect other people's opinons. Even though they're retarded.

I played 2nd one.
15 times better then first one.
But that's because I gave up on first one after playing it 1 hour cause it's just boring.
2nd one started fun but lack of tutorial pissed me off in following hours and those really unresponsive controls.

Kane & Lynch.
We had to wait six years for another Hitman game because of this useless diversion.

If we have the ability to choose when to cut it off, I would say either Tony Hawk Pro Skater or Sonic, which have clearly fizzled out of creative ability a long time ago.
If it absolutely has to dissapear instantly, period?
Super Mario Bros.
I respect the cultural value and the impact it's had on the industry, but.. I just can't enjoy those games in the same way I do others. I don't like living in a world 25+ years after the original that still has the #1 face of gaming be known as a plumber dressed in god awful colors, stomping bizarre triangle-shaped creatures to death in some sort of LSD trip gone awry, to save a princess, to which the anthropomorphic dinosaur has no worthwhile motive to speak of.
It is gameplay purely for gameplay, there is no reason, no purpose. It is the antithesis of the reason I've gotten into gaming. I played it back in the day at age 3, and probably enjoyed it. That's because I was 3, I didn't know any better. I still recognize in newer mario games the great ideas they put in there, I do. But it isn't, and never will be enough to pull me in as anything even remotely close to a mario fan.
End of whine.

Halo. Mediocrity elevated to gospel because of a big enough marketing budget and figuring out how to port a control scheme onto a different system.

If I had a dollar for every sci-fi RPG ever made, I would have enough money to buy a Walmart store. BioWare wasn't very creative when making the Mass Effect games. An RPG set in the technological future. Nothing new there. On top of that, the universe of Mass Effect isn't new in any way. Instead of creating a new sci-fi future unique in it's own way, Mass Effect uses the same, identical scenario as hundreds of thousands of sci-fi movies, tv shows, games, novels, and more. Way to change the playing field, BioWare. But to be fair, none of their games were ever creative with their scenario.
Starting off with the story, it isn't anything special. A predictable story of betrayal, and a hunt for a traitor. And that's just the first hour. After that, absolutely nothing happens. And the boring, stereotypical characters have no personality. The game introduced an extremely limited conversation system, where it almost never has the option of what you want to say. Nothing you do in the game has any point to it, except getting from point A to point B. As if that wasn't bad enough, you're stuck with repetitive mission objectives, landscapes, and enemies. The graphics don't go into any detail, you'll notice that when looking at atrocious landscapes, and bland character designs. The soundtrack isn't memorable, and neither is the amount of customization in the game.
Most enemies you fight are also overpowered. There isn't real variety in combat, same guns, same powers, same single vehicle. The controls are pretty lackluster. Can you think of any other game who's controls are so terrible, you throw grenades with the back button? The vehicle controls and handling could not be worse. Enemy AI is a joke, and map layouts are simplistically idiotic. The game is ridiculously user unfriendly, and will leave you lost and confused, wondering where to go.
Buying all of the series' reviews was a great idea on BioWare's behalf. This crap game was known as one of the greatest games of the year because of it. On the bright side, BioWare didn't have enough money left after buying said reviews to rig many awards. The game's sales are explained by the fact that only sci-fi nerds bought it because of so much hype, and the fact that it was a bioware game. It's a shame this game series was exploited to the public.
Therefore, Mass Effect is the worst franchise. Ever.

^What about Mass Effect 2?
And as for Sci-Fi RPG is overdone?
Name me some we see today, but also set in space( Fallout then doesn't count).

Well I've learnt to accept people hating DA because of DA2 I guess. I used to defend it even because I loved it but now I've just given up.
