If you could eliminated any game series from existence, which one would it be?

ME and ME2 weren't just terrible games, they had the biggest negative impacts
on the gaming industry. The gaming world today would be a much better
place if these games were never made. Every time one of
these games gets purchased, or a fanboy praises about their false
greatness, the industry dies a little bit more. There's nothing we can
do to keep games like these from coming out, except not anticipate them.
There's nothing we can do to keep their popularity down except by
smartening up, and not appreciating a bad game. That's all these games
are, bad games. That was a modest statement. Every game in the Mass Effect series was a mistake. A mistake and an
abomination. As a gamer, or a newcomer to gaming, do your duty, and
don't support these mediocre heaps of garbage. Games don't get worse
than these.

ME2 also had a mediocre story, repetitive gameplay, enemies, and weapons,
laughable dialogue, a pathetic amount of creativity and uniqueness, and
one-dimensional characters. Also, they both had the same broken vehicle
controls. Being a sad excuse for a futuristic sci-fi game, both of these
games were set in a scenario that's been seen too many times before. One
last thing these pieces of garbage unfortunately defined as games have
in common; they all make great coaster sets and belong in either the
trash or in a bonfire.

The Witcher
You just don't say things like that on an RPG dominated forum.
What is your beef with the Witcher? Have you played the second one? It was a a fantastic title.
Yet I got away with saying Dragon Age? *scratches head*
Yeah but everyone on BSN loves you, so you get a free pass.
Eeeee!

Saying that it's been done before is just silly. Everything's been done before. It's hard to find a unique setting and world for a game. Also it would have been rather reptitive if Bioware did yet another Fantasy RPG. Broken vehicle controls? Did you play the Hammerhead DLC?
What exactly was wrong with the story? I studied Screenwriting as part of my Animation course and it's pretty
solid(not perfect of course) but it was quite exciting(especially in the climax)
Likewise I don't understand why you said that the characters are one-dimensional. The companions in both games had some of the most interesting backstories and personalities(this is what Bioware does best).
ME2 and ME aren't like NWN or BG, they're not that stat heavy(it's RPG-lite combined with a Third Person Shooter).
Just by looking at your post it seems to me that you haven't played either one long enough to get a good impression of them and you're just judging the book by it's cover so to speak.

But so far all scifi RPGs I've seen have those flaws. Somewhat wondering what you would have done to make it better, for you at least.
Anyways on to the topic at hand. 90% of singing, dancing, band and sports games. They actully never add anything new for the most, only look pretty, are short, and only are aimed at the casual market. AND that, not Mass Effect, or Dragon Age is "Destroying" the Market. Sad thing is, while it may be ruining it for the hardcore base, its making more profit, and bringing in more gamers than ever before. If we are outnumberd 5 to 1 is it a surprise the base gets swept under at times?

I like Sci-Fi so not an issue with me whether RPG or any of genre, I just like Sci-Fi. Some of my favorite games are Elite, Star Ocean, Mass Effect, Privateer, Wing Commander, System Shock and many more. While on the other hand imho CoD has created a generation of seriously angry gamers so annoyed at dying against other players day in day out, making up excuses as to why being killed all the time and then turning into griefing others but always raging/spitefull and looking to pump their egos everywhere to get same fix.
So choice what series to remove would be CoD.

You mean, in the same way you did when you resorted to hyperbole rather than rationale?
I would never claim Mass Effect is a perfect series (far from it, in fact), but purporting that its very existence is somehow draining the proverbial life force out of the medium as a whole is frankly, with all due respect to subjectivity, delusional.
Anyway, my personal pick?
Mortal Kombat.
Now there is a series for which there was never truly any need.

Because there's no point for me to argue with you since I'm painted for you as blind fanboy.
Also just Google ExtraCredits and watch his vids.
You'll see what's my point.

Star Ocean,
JRPG.
Xenosaga 1-3,
JRPG.
Last game 5 years ago.
FFVIII(certain sections of it),
JRPG.
Sci-Fi is not about space, it only happen to have location in space.
Also 12 years old game.
Mass Effect, Mass Effect,
You forgot to add numbers.
KOTOR, KOTOR 2, etc.
Last one released 6 years ago.
Also, those are still really small numbers.

Resident Evil- The only good games in the series are Resident Evil 2 and the remake of 1 for the Gamecube. All the other games are mediocre and yet Capcom continues to port and remake God-awful Resident Evil 4 to every console, handheld, and phone imaginable.

Mortal Kombat- I would not call it a fighting game, as Mortal Kombat has never been about the fighting. Instead it relies on gimmicks starting with digitized graphics, blood and gore, babalities, friendship. More time and effort is put into the finishing moves than the actual fighting core.

Mortal Kombat has Scorpion and Sub-Zero, which makes it automatic win.
Resident Evil had zombies which should have also made it automatic win, but the only decent game was the first, so it fails.

@Mesina: You said "some", did you not? And I didn't realize that JRPGs weren't RPGs. I have seen the light. And by "today", do you mean games that have been released in the 21st century? You need to be a bit more specific.
In most of them there aren't any choices for story, no character interaction and you can't create your own character( Mass Effect, Dragon Age) or build already one we have( Deus Ex, Alpha Protocol).
And FFVIII is very much Sci-Fi.
But not set in space.
And I asked Sci-Fi RPG's set in space.
