Hey. I've recently had to reinstall my PC due to hardware failure. I've reinstalled DA2. With DAO the game remembered my achievements no matter how many times I reinstalled, but after reinstalling those in DA2 are reset to 0. I can see the achievements I got before I reinstalled here on the site though.

Is this normal? My friend claims his game can remember the achievements.

I just did a reformat of my PC, and when I reinstalled, all of my achievements were still there. Did you happen to save your DA2 folder from your My Documents folder (where your save games are located)?

I just saved that entire folder, rather than just my saved games, so maybe that's why mine still has the achievements.

If you are successfully logged in to the servers in-game, it should sync your achievements from here. It can take a little while, however. The sync is not always immediate.

yeah, my game remembered my achievements (though I wanted it to forget, lol). Give it some time to sync

My achievements were still there... except for the two I had to work hardest to achieve, "Mage Hunter" and the viscount one. I really, really hate siding with the templars.

I see. I've managed to misplace my folder. I did take a backup before removing the harddrive though. I still can't see my new character on the site here, so I guess maybe the sync just hasn't happened yet.

You can check the social site forum (way down near the bottom of the main forum) and the forum FAQ linked at the bottom of every page for ways to try to nudge the sync along.
