It's a lot easier to lure people in with flashy stuff than with stuff that has actual depth to it, plus having a video where you're fighting against giant space cuttlefish kinda makes people wonder how the hell you're going to beat them.

Ok for those wondering: The three people with the weapons at each others throats were from the three playble factions in the game (Illuminati, Templar and Dragons) the fourth is probably from a faction not available to players (= populated by NPCs) The factions are at war with each other but have to fight together to achieve common goals. So yeah, nice trailer

I would be glad, but still get a few days with Mass Effect 3, but the gameplay trailer was really poorly done by bioware ME 3 that can really better.
