Is that the Engineer's Heavy Melee in the video btw? Looks really good - I like.

The A.I. seems to be a lot smarter, at .40 one just rolls out
of the way from shep’s cryo blast just to hit the soldier behind .

Probably because BW still gives their aliens human skeletons. Grunt looked like a fvcking doofus when he would run for the same reason. I don't know why they don't just make their own skeletons for turians and krogan.

In Liara and Garrus' case: I think it's because only their legs are moving in the vid. No shoulder movement for example will make a running creature look really weird/stiff.

Of course EA is going to push BF3 like no tomorrow, it's their last hope of killing the Call of Duty hype machine. Personally, I don't blame them for wanting to devote a lot to it considering it's coming out a lot sooner than ME3.

Will Bioware/EA have anything else regarding ME3 for the rest of Gamescom?

There will probably be some BioWare Pulse episodes, interviews filtering in from various games media sources that are attending GamesCom, and on Saturday, there's a ME3 presentation scheduled that will be streamed, iirc. Chris Priestly mentioned that event here:
http://social.biowar...8093964#8093964

Tomorrow, August 17th, there will be a live stream of GamesCom on BioWare Pulse at 5pm EDT. Not sure what they will be showing us wrt to ME3 then...

A friend and I have been posting tabs on what's happening, with some help from all of your posts:

Is that a full squadmate death animation I see?

I think it's "someone got too close to Atlas in unappropriate time" animation.

Will get some more screenshots soon - more powers now.

I hope those running animations (squadmates - not Shepard's) get changed before release. I'm sorry but they really don't look good.

They actually did the same in ME2. Bodies didn't move at all, just like now.

Yeah, it looks stiff, but it's nothing new. I highly doubt it would ever change.

I really do hope they'll take some time to fine tune the animations. In addition to the stiff character models atm [I don't remember it looking THAT off in ME2 personally] - I feel like the sped-up combat pacing feels really...artificial and strange. It's too fast. It's like the devs got together and said "We need to increase the speed and flow of combat!" "Ok, to what level?" "LUDICROUS SPEED!"

The Atlas "pick-up hostile for crush" animation looks a bit meh. In mineralica's image sequence (thanks for those pictures :)) you can see that the Atlas grabs Liara at the neck, and then somehow her body "slids" upwards so that her hip is in the plier hand of the mech.

And btw, that crush is a bit lame with the current plier hand of the Atlas:

images.eurogamer.net/assets/articles//a/1/3/8/9/2/8/8/ScreenTemplate.jpg.jpg

See, the two ends of the pincer are bent so they meet again behind Liara's bum. And Liara is still pretty much alive in that image, struggling to get out of the mech's grip. What I want to say is, the two pincer ends cannot grip harder after they meet, and there's only a few inches of space between the two in this picture. This way, no one could be really crushed by that hand. Of course, they'd feel rather unpleasently as it still presses their bodies pretty hard, but not to the point to kill someone. I don't know why couldn't they go with the Ogre grab and punch animation. Or at least change the Atlas' hands to a more suitable crushing tool.

Why oh why this boards hasn't got "spoiler" tag - I don't like such long posts.

Looks like "we must stop the Collectors. Death to Blue Suns!" got continuation

Squad running really awkward. Part of orangish-brown sky

Garrus's back now has some target that Grunt's front. Some white sniper rifle

Cerberus troops really like to land on that rocket boots. I insist on playing "Duck hunt"

Garrus proves, once again, that he is the best around.

Liara will be fine after they glue her back together with medi gel!

It's a heavily edited trailer. The actual gameplay videos that we've seen didn't look as if combat occured at significantly faster pace than ME2.

I really hope people don't pick up the whole 'squad leader' thing and try to spin it into MP nonsense.

(Though secretly it kind of looks like a bad dream I had about MP once.)

Level design and environment looks amazing, however the animations looked horrible, especially running. Was hoping that would be fixed for ME3...guess not. Oh well...overall combat looks really fun and intense.

Given how great the game is already looking months before its released I think we can all forgive bad running animations.

Just as long as they try to improve upon it. I hate how Shepard running in ME2, especially on the Normandy, looks like he'd take 3rd in the Special Olympics 50m dash.
