tell you the truth I lost all interest nowadays...since they delayed the game and haven't given any new dlc(not story driven of course) I haven't touched ME2 or ME1 and probably it is due to the fact that being 7 months away, I got a little tired of videos and pictures of somwthing that it's still so far away, I am more interested in games that are coming out now in november. So I just check the big announcements and that's all.I will get in the real hype when we're reach at least 2012.And so far we've only seen combat....and yeah I like it but I don't need 20000 demos of that.

Wow. Another "exciting" combat video. Can we see something else? Its been all pew pew since they announced the game. Lets get some character reveals, location reveals, class reveals, with powers, and more diversification other than shoot shoot shoot. I know it's not even started yet, but come on. We get it, the combat looks like any other 500 shooters out there, just show us something different. You can show skill trees, classes, locations, and character reveals without spoiling information. I tell you man, whatever feedback Bioware gets they take it to the extreme. People don't like the inventory, rather than improve it they remove it completely. People complain about spoilers in the marketing, rather than reduce the amount of spoilers, we only get combat videos.

Great now they'll just not bother showing anything else if more people complain about them showing combat...

Damned if they do and damned if they don't... *airquotes*the fans*close airquotes* will always find something to nitpick about and thus leave Bioware with nothing left to show if they were to follow everyones complaints. I guess some people will always find something to complain about... edit: case in point, the post above mine.

I for one think that the delay was good in terms of game development but perhaps not so good for us in terms of demos and info due to the fact that the delay affected that too I guess. I may be wrong but that's how I feel

So will there be links to all the footage from Gamescon and Bioware Pulse in this thread? I have to wait till September the 3rd to watch all the footage because I am capped.

From the screen shots I think I am not missing much I guess from the latest trailer. But what I am really hanging out for is the class videos that Christina Norman did for Mass Effect 2. Because they were really awesome and gave me us all an in-depth view on what each class could do. I really want to know what class I am going to be playing as before I go into Mass Effect 3.

THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT THEY'RE DOING!

Pay attention instead of revving up a whinefest for once.

I can live without ME1 pathetic excuse of an "inventory".

I'd rather take it as it was in ME2, where it manages itself, so I don't have to bother sorting crap out after every single fight, which is just tedious, boring and serves absolutley no other purpose than to waste my time with something I really shouldn't have to do.

They have a buy and sell economy in ME3 and weapons. That's enough for me.

And if they show too much, people are going to start crying about how they're spoiling everything, so they're going for the "safe than sorry" approach.

I like their focus on combat in marketing. Less spoilers for story and dialogue. Even RPG elements can reveal things about the plot you don't expect. I'd rather they keep doing the casual PR.

starting to get that feeling myself. its hard to maintain excitement for a game thats 7mo out, im even strugglin to clock my usual ME2 time the last few weeks. the long slow tease is starting to wear on me

i love bein at the table but gettin tiny scraps till march is gonna kill me. if ME3 wasnt delayed we'd prolly have a demo to look forward to really soon, that prolly wont happen till after the holiday season. what a drag

ME3 might get the batman arkham city media blackout treatment soon: no forums no teasers no spoilers, just ignore everything till a demo shows up or bioware decides to open the flood gates and stop teasin me

The trailer was nice. Although it just screams more linearity and more hallways to fight our way through.from Point A to Point B.

I would really prefer they talk more about the RPG elements. Just gives us ONE spoilerish clip that shows the changes in role-playing. Seriously Bioware... the fans have spoken:

WE GET IT! SHOW US MORE ROLE-PLAYING!

Why are you doing this to yourselves? I'm not saying I don't love Mass Effect. I'm just not doing a maleshep playthrough because I was so attached to my femshep but you must have something else you can play.

By attempting to play one game for the next seven months(or even trying to have it hold out till the first big holiday launch) is just going to make a very tedious situation even more tedious. In addition to that, we don't even know how much Bioware plans on releasing but we've got a 7 month wait. if they start doing things like character and location reveals now not only will they be spoiling stuff, but they're going to run out of stuff to start letting loose when it counts, things like character reveals are much better suited for the last month-month and a half before launch because at this point some characters don't even have all of their voicework done yet. Some missions are probably still being made and the game is still very much in flux.

Mass Effect 2 started too strong, and tried to hold that pace until launch. It ended up with fans saying they were spoiled. I mean, the first demo they did, on Archangel's recruitment mission ruined the surprise of Garrus. Achievements mixed with the reveal trailer ruined Legion's surprise. I just don't want them to get into full gear too fast and then hit their stride early personally.

Aside from that, Fall is looking pretty sweet, there's a lot of things to be seriously excited about aside from Skyrim and Mass Effect.

I liked the Mars location, if this takes place early on in the game, perhaps Garrus and Liara are with you at the beginning?

The shown squadmates are always Garrus/Liara mainly because they're the ones with finished designs and powers. They're used as placeholders regardless of the specifics of a location, just like Cerberus troops (sometimes they were shown as enemies in places where you're supposed to fight geth).

Personally, I'd rather not watch a 3 minute long trailer of someone leveling up their character.

Oh, so revealing that cerberus is indoctrinated/gunning for shepard isn't a major spoiler? Or what about the prothean squadmate? I guess since they said it's been scrapped we're supposed to just believe them right? I could go on all day. Bottom line is, they're still letting spoiler slip. If you don't want major spoilers, then don't watch any videos. There's only so much stuff they can show that doesn't contain spoilers. Movie trailers show spoilers, but you still enjoy it right? Isn't the reason you went to go see the movie because you were interested in the story from the trailer? Or were you only interested in the combat and michael bay splosions? If they plan on showing combat gameplay videos from part 1 - part 50 all the way through the launch, are you really going to be excited with the same old combat you've seen over and over again? I think you're the one who needs to pay attention, and actually think about what's being discussed rather than jumping right into it. ;)

Someone fill me in and direct me to new videos. What's new? I've been busy lurking the Gears of War 3 forum for the past 5 days.

I'm pretty sure they're doing this on purpose, Polite. They're trying to make up for the mess they caused with ME2's campaign and minimize the spoilers as much as they can, hence the focus on pew-pew videos with little to no context.

Very luck, I'd say. I'm sure I would have enjoyed the game a dozen times more if I hadn't followed its full-of-spoilers campaign.

Indeed I loved every surprise and amazing story IMO of ME 2 and the only videos I watched were the non spoilerish ones.

That's more like the ME1 videos, the bulk of which were just combat, combat, combat.
