The credits at the beginning say: Mass Effect 3 Combat Reveal Part 1. So there should be a Part 2. Hopefully we’ll see it before the end of GamesCom

In his defense, he didn't really intentionally pick those two questions. One was from a randomly selected crowdmember, and he had already promised to answer the other guy's question before he knew what he was asking.

Directly before mentioning "other things" he replied, "Uhh... sure...."

I didn't mean that as confirmation, just that I found it funny that he was taken aback.

The question about weapons was interesting. I thought it was already confirmed that some of the weapon mods would have a gameplay effect, like the bayonet. I also heard something about silencers. However here it seemed that the mods will be only damage or some other stat upgrade.

Why is everyone so hard on the questions? It happens in every single Q&A for a hotly anticipated game. Quite honestly, they can either answer questions they've already answered (boo-urns, I know) or they can get asked very intelligent thought-out questions and have the simple reply of saying "I can't answer that".

It sounds a lot worse when the game designers are constantly saying "I can't answer that" or "I don't know, we haven't really finished that aspect" and the worst is when they can't deny something, because the denial would indicate another answer, and hence spoil the game.

They're in a tough position, and with all these gaming conventions, you're bound to run out of questions to ask. Not to mention all the online reveals and twitter answers the team gives out.

The only complaint I'll give, is when people ask for a little more detail or slightly alter a question that has been asked before, and the subtlety is lost on the people answering and they give a prepared statement to which you just go.. "did you listen at all?"

Other than that.. it's not Silverman's fault for choosing the questions, and I can't really blame the team for filtering out questions about aspects of the game they either do not want to reveal, or will be revealing at a later date closer to release. (i.e. vanguard class and mechanics) Let's also not forget that some fans at these conventions may not be keeping up to date on all the latest goings on and legitimately are asking questions we all know the answer to.

I think its the start of a series that'll be shown throughout ME3's marketing. I doubt we'll see the next episode before PAX.

Then why can't they just say yes?

I mean, Silverman asked a question about 'Marrying Tali' and even Gamble pretty much went:

I think it's a fair question that doesn't give too much away. We've seen female and male quarians and we're going to see a female krogan. Is it too much to ask for female turians and/or salarians? Will we get to see Solana or have the devs decided there are just too many clipping issues to deal with? Will they look like their comic counterparts (I hope not) despite other sources (Garrus) telling us they don't look like that?

I don't know how an answer to any of those questions is going to spoil anything major but an answer would be more informative than "You may or may not see Tali's face". Or just saying "We don't know yet, but we're looking into it" is fine. Heck, the last novel implied that the turian ambassador is female and she might replace the turian councillor in ME3 for all we know.

As I've said before, I don't mind the lame questions from folks who don't follow every scrap of ME3 news but I do mind hearing the same exact questions repeatedly.

We could use something new to talk about around here other than what hair colour FemShep should have or "can Shepard have/make babies".
