Well, he also said he can't say anything about Miranda's squadmate status. But yes, that was about my reaction. It was totally worth the 2-hour wait to be able to ask about Miranda.

:o Though I mostly play as Paragon, I really like the sound of it!

Making it easier?  Ugh.

Also really hoping that the Paragon/Renegade choice isn't an automatic win.  I would love it if the Rachni thing did come back to be a pain in the ass.

Didn't care either way about Mission Complete screens as I did kinda like them but I know alot of people hated them.

It'd be funny if a neutral response had the best outcome.

Then again, the "best option" is a matter of opinion.

Some answers from the ME3 panel on GamesCom which I attended. They tried to record the session but there were technical difficulties, so there's no footage (there was some in very low quality, but I can't find it anymore):

*Mission complete screens will be gone
*Paragon decisions will not always yield the best outcomes
*Difficulty: while "Veteran is the new Normal", the Casual setting will remain about the same, except that the new enemies may require different tactics.
*Miranda will have a large role in Mass Effect 3
*We will meet possible squadmates during the story, and it's possible that they leave us again (a little vague on the latter).

I didn't take notes because I assumed that everything would be recorded, but some did. Perhaps we'll see more of the answers posted. No questions about other individual squadmates were asked.

They also showed an extended version of the Fall of Earth demo with some cutscenes added, including a conversation with Anderson and the Normandy flying off Earth while the Reapers tear everything to shreds. Very emotional, very impressive.

Great, so basically the most exciting demo presentation doesn't get recorded? Well just our luck :(

No, they're making it harder. ME2's Veteran will be ME3's Normal".

He said there are decisions you can make which will make the situation in the war considerably worse. He wriggled out of answering directly if we can actually lose the war, but there will definitely be large-scale bad consequences for both Paragon and Renegade decisions.

Miranda plays an essential part in ME2, and depending on the choices you made it seem to reason she would have an important role in ME3. Is she going to be aligned with Cerberus? Will she remain loyal to Shepard if you win her loyalty and/or romanced her? What about her sister?

Is this the 'panel' you were talking about??

Oh, that's nice. Can't watch one of the best demos just because I happened to sleep a little longer today and that demo is apparently a one time deal for some retarded reason. That's really nice.

No, this one was not on the main EA stage but in a conference room at the EA community lounge. It wasn't so easy to get in because there were only 80 seats, but I had a little totally undeserved luck.

Just to say that there were no new gameplay sections. It was about two or three minutes added to the already known section, after the Normandy flies in to pick Shepard and Anderson up.
There is a little conversation with Anderson saying he'll stay on Earth to lead the resistance while Shepard must collect all the allies he can get, then Anderson formally reinstates Shepard. We see a Reaper descending on some buildings and some refugees entering a shuttle, including the boy Shepard met earlier. After Shepard ends his conversation with Anderson, we see the Reaper shooting that refugee shuttle out of the sky. Cue melancholic music while Shepard and Ashley look at each other with grim faces, then we see the Normandy flying off.

Ah, so that's the same demo that was shown privately at E3, i remember the reviewer on IGN mentioning the boy getting into a shuttle and then that shuttle getting destroyed. I'd be SO TORN on whether or not to watch that if it was posted, as i kinda want to wait for that intro to play on my tv/surround sound cause it's so friggin epic.....buuuuut, i'd probably give in and watch it. :innocent:

Ahhh, can´t wait for ME3!

Did you visit Gamescom today or yesterday? I heard they didn´t let any more visitors in today, since the halls have been already so full!

No. I was wondering about that, too. There was definitely interaction missing between Shepard and Ashley. But perhaps this isn't the final version of this scene. Or Ashley's and Shepard's reunion will take place in a scene after that. I wouldn't worry about it at this time.

That scene you just described was shown privately to the press during E3. I’ve read articles describing it in different magazines. I’ve been trying to find it but apparently it was never shown for the general public until now. And still it wasn’t broadcasted.

I have been there on Thursday for the whole day, yesterday evening for the Q&A and today for the closed presentation and Q&A. And yes, the place was absolutely packed. I was fortunate already had a ticket for all four days because no one who didn't already have one was let in. Even with a ticket, I had to wait about 75 minutes until enough people had left so they could let the next batch of people in. Crazy, I tell you. I've never seen so many gamers in one place.

@Benchpress610:
Tomorrow is the last day of GamesCom. But I won't go tomorrow. Too hot, too packed, though there will likely be not quite as many people as today.

Also, i posted this in a separate thread, but Danny Silverman re-tweeted a list of Gamescom stuff that someone posted, and it's a fantastic summary of ME3 info from the conference.

Or maybe Shep-VS reunion happens before the demo? Like at the trial or something?
