Fact of the matter is, now matter how you put it, multiplayer will take away resources from the single player game. Even if you hire independent people to manage the systems, the developers of the single player game still have to develop models and powers and animations and resources for the multiplayer, whether it be co-op or full on multiplayer, to retain consistancy between each mode. I'd rather 6 months of polishing (game is in final development) than some of those 6 months devoted to multiplayer integration.

My opinion is the extent of the multiplayer will be on the single player campaign. I believe that someone will be able to hop-in hop-out during missions and control a squadmate.

I'm looking forward to a multiplayer mode. That said, this wouldn't be the first time that MP was "confirmed". I'll wait for Bioware to actually announce it, or see an article writen by someone who's actually seen it, before I put any stock in this.

No, but I wont give a damn about the multiplayer, I dont want to pay to listen to 14 year old kids sing down a mic, team kill each other, ect.. I will lose alot of respect that I have for Bioware though, they dont need multiplayer. This is the last game in the trilogy, put the resources to better use, more side quests, fix bugs, ect. If it's in the next Mass effect game It wouldn't bother me, but I dont see why ME3 needs it.

i dont get this stance of people thinking multiplayer existing is going to ruin the game.

at best it'll be a fun multiplayer or co-op mode. at worst it'll be a half-assed tacked on multiplayer that doesnt effect the single player experience.

whats the big deal? i mean i have no real interest in playing the multiplayer if it exists, but im not gonna nerd rage that theres a multiplayer option on the main menu lol
