Why do people keep making posts like these ones right here? Do you guys think multiplayer just jumped to the fore front again of discussion for no reason? Obviously there has been new information pertaining to multiplayer being announced soon. That and the fact Bioware has never flat out said THERE IS NO MULTIPLAYER IN ME3, they have dodged the question every single time.

Sadly, since I oppose it with every fiber in my being. I stand here wit ha GUARANTEE ME3 will have a multiplayer. Way too much BS from Bioware for there to not be one.

Either confirm or deny the multiplayer in ME3 because this rampant rumor mongering and flaming between fanboys is getting to the tipping point. I don't care either way, because I just want the game. I'm just getting pissed off with my attitude of supporting Bioware with what THEY have said/hinted at and at the same time trying to stop people from crying havoc over frivolous things like this. That's incredibly hard to do when Bioware can't pick a god damn side themselves.
I honestly hope that the announcement tomorrow does just that and Bioware picks a side, because I'm getting fed up of this. Or do you guys enjoy the sight of forum morons bickering over something as trivial as an added multiplayer feature? That's just stupid to be honest. Get this **** over with so we can have future announcements on GOOD game details and none of this rumor/alleged feature nonsense.

I didn't mean that exactly with my post. While I'm not a big fan of FPS Call of Duty definitely does not suck. BioWare definitely doesn't need to be folowing a "If it worked for COD..." motto though, and they most likely never will since what BioWare likes to create and what Infinity Ward likes to create is very different.

We can confirm that they aren't taking that approach with this observation: gameplay changed between mass effect and its sequel. mass effect 2 wasn't set pieces tied together by dental floss. mass effect 2 wasn't mass effect 1 with a new subtitle.

Nope. The important part was at the beginning in the "update" text. In there the site said that they got a list from the organizers of GC with details on the games EA will show during the conference and there was one point called "Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer" on there.

We'll know for sure in 6 hours...

Yes, and the really important part was the footnote at the end saying some of the information on that list came from magazines and the internet.  IOW, some of it was guesswork and rumor.

I now regret my popcorn bit best we get back to topic..............Rumor does not mean fact is multiplayer a rumor or a fact its a rumor untill proven, ME3 (which it will most likely) will have no multiplayer the only way to find out is to see what Bioware has to say at Gamescom

There are rumours that are and always stay rumours (the majority of it) and some proof to be true so ... which one we'll know soon enough.

ME3 is a game and therefore things change during development cycle and for something like a multiplayer section to ME3 they'd not come out here on the forums and say "yes multiplayer is in". Also they'd not announce it on "Twitter or facebook" it would need a bigger stage. Therefore any game company (or any company) would deny a "rumour" as a "rumour" until either the game comes out (or gone gold) and that proves it was just a rumour or until "They are officially ready to announce it" .. until either those are met they would deny it as rumour right or wrongly doesn't matter.

Would Bioware implement multiplayer in ME3?
Of course the would, if they'd think it would bring them a lot more new player and therefore more revenue. On the other side, implementing some form of multiplayer as DLC might actually get them more money then what they'd get from implementing multiplayer in the core game, if "multiplayer" wouldn't be integral to the overall ME3 experience (if they'd implement it all .. ).

If I'd want the rumours to be true or not would lead that thread a bit off topic.

The way I see it, this is the last chance for Bioware to announce it. Based on the current PAX schedule, every franchise from Bioware except Mass Effect 3 has a panel, and if it's not at a panel, it's not going to make big news at PAX since the big notion behind PAX is that everyone has access to all content there. Either Bioware announces it here or it becomes optional DLC and I buy it later on.(Hey, I enjoyed pinnacle station to a degree, clearly Mass Effect has some serious rose tinted glasses for me)

Anyway, I'm gonna go to sleep and hope that I wake up to a final ruling on this(with any luck, a more solid source than he said she said talk from German websites ran through Google translator)

I'm all for co-op support but competitive MP can go to hell.
BioWare already cured me from a Dragon Age addiction with DA2 and i'll never buy any sequel to that, no matter if the entire world gives it a 10/10.

Don't mess up my ME experience with some generic CTF & TDM multiplayer.

I have no issues with multiplayer (heck, it gives me an excuse to get others to play the game with me, show them my MAAAAD skills, and get others to play the rest of the games).  So long as single player is ballin' I don't care or need any other bells and whistles, but I'll give them a try.

But the whole it sucks/it's cool thing is a matter of opoinion, and I am so fine with fans having a civil and intelligent conversation about their views.  It's good for us all!

But where me and NitrAce are on the same page is the PR BS.  If you can't say right now, Bioware, just say "Info coming soon" or "Details are being worked out", not "rumors blah blah blah".  I'm not mad about it, because I understand you guys might not be the ones to blame, but just know, people know the difference between a question being dodged and a question not being answered.  Guess which one angers people more?   They may not like being told "Sorry, can't talk about that yet either way...", but they'll understand.  Half-truths, though, get you people filling in the other half, thus all this "uh-huh" and "nuh-uh" bickering.  I'm a teacher, and I can tell you, my kids respect "I don't know" or "I can't talk about it" a heck of a lot more than "I WON'T talk about it" or "ROFL" (runs away)

No, there has been no official denial, and people will argue either way until either it's announced or the gsame goes gold.  Personally, I'll point out how this is EXACTLY like the PS3 ME2/Kinect support stuff,  but my point here is just, well, I hope you understand how some fans (or at least me) feel, and we only care so much because you've created one of the greatest fictional worlds (the best of video gaming) ever, rivaling Star Wars, Marvel, DC, Star Trek and Lord of the Rings. :wub:
