****** off, I said IF IT'S TRUE. Di*khead.
No, but I wont give a damn about the multiplayer, I dont want to pay to listen to 14 year old kids sing down a mic, team kill each other, ect.. I will lose alot of respect that I have for Bioware though, they dont need multiplayer. This is the last game in the trilogy, put the resources to better use, more side quests, fix bugs, ect. If it's in the next Mass effect game It wouldn't bother me, but I dont see why ME3 needs it.
No Multiplayer in ME3 at Gamescom announced!

You're assuming that you're required to play the Multiplayer if its there.
I've played games with multiplayer where i only went into Single Player and finished the entire game by myself.

I mostly get stuck with douches, yes. But I do love playing the Left 4 dead games when I can get a good team together, can have a great laugh, and a good match.

Honestly, I remember the freak out everyone had before the Kinect announcement and once that rumour was confirmed everyone was like "Oh, that's not a big deal." I don't expect things to be much different if/when MP is confirmed.

bioware is a fairly large development studio. they could easily set up a multiplayer dev team thats completely seperate from the core games dev team and wont cut into resources other than budget.
remember, having 40 devs working on a sidequest can actually be more harmful than a smaller team.

The cover of the magize used, the rumors, etc have yet to be proven. As always, we do not comment on rumors. Wait until the news of Gamescom comes out and then see what new information is revealed.
I am chaning the title oif the thread as it is totally misleading, since it s once again based on rumors.

I direct you to my earlier post:
Fact of the matter is, now matter how you put it, multiplayer will take away resources from the single player game. Even if you hire independent people to manage the systems, the developers of the single player game still have to develop models and powers and animations and resources for the multiplayer, whether it be co-op or full on multiplayer, to retain consistancy between each mode. I'd rather 6 months of polishing (game is in final development) than some of those 6 months devoted to multiplayer integration.

I doubt Bioware are going to risk compromising the great SP experience the series is famous on. Even if MP is in the game, I can guarantee there will still be a lot of effort put into a great experience.
Let's be honest, if ME3 is half the length of ME2 and with a poor MP component, do you think reviewers will give it anywhere close to ME2's 96/100?
Ok, Bioware Edmonton develops Mass Effect.E-Type XR wrote...

Now, imagine Bioware Montreal develops the MP component seperately.
Problem solved?

Kinect is not a big deal.
Multiplayer on the other hand, is a huge thing.
And considering that Bioware hired only 1 guy for multiplayer and they didn't do any game with multiplayer since Baldur's Gate 2, ME3 multiplayer is not possible unless EA is doing it separately as DLC.

What happens if in Bioware Montreal is where the guy who writes the majority of the Mass Effect script works?
Mass Effect 3's plot goes to hell due to inconsistancy in the plot.

Singleplayer will be alot shorter because of MP. The time creating MP could be spent on making SP even better.
Mass Effect trilogy doesn't need multiplayer.
