I´ve never played ME1 with the "Bring Down the Sky" DLC, so I want to try, but there´s no way to register the game in this website. What I need to do?

I've contacted EA over the phone, and while you can download it here, they flat out refused to help me get a code over the phone as they "Have no way to do this" and then I was told if I wanted to play the DLC that was supposed to be free with my purchased day one copy of Mass Effect that I'd have to PIRATE the DLC or buy a whole new copy of Mass Effect that has the DLC key.
At this point I'm not sure what I'm going to do about it as I see no reason to pirate it as I have a legit copy and don't want to screw it up. I'd love to know what to do at this point, but it seems tech support isn't going to help.

It should be noted that different members of that staff respond differently from one another to the same questions, and further pursuit via other personnel has been known to be fruitful.mcsupersport wrote...

I've talked to three different EA techs on the phone now and they've all told me the same thing, there is NO WAY to get a code for Bring Down the Sky on PC.
So what am I doing wrong?

OK! So apparently never call their phone support for this issue, ever. There's nothing that they can do over the phone. Initiate a text chat instead, you'll get your needed code in a matter of seconds.
I am VERY happy right now.

Erm. What. The. HELL?
With support people forwarding people to piracy... who needs competitors?
Do EA/BioWare know about this?

I may have let something slip when I talked with the text chat person, and another person on the phone, and in the customer survey following the phone call that condoned priacy. And I made sure they had a name.
I think they're aware.

eh...I contacted online support yesterday, and today, and both couldn't help me. Next time though I'll tell em that a bunch of people have gotten keys on the forums because this is ridiculous. I want my freaking BDtS key!
