Why is it so bad, again? Just asking, because I thought it was pretty darn good... minus the repeated areas and, well, the anders character.

Outside of a few flaws, it wasn't bad. It was different. For some people, it was TOO different.

I wish you hadn't started this thread. The topic has been discussed to death and it only prompts a flame war.

Because it is horrid. It lacks the depth and love of DA:O.

And yes, this forum has seemingly had several other threads that address this. The bottom line: EA rushed the gameand wanted to appeal to a more immature audience. Which is fine, only if they didn't sell it off to DA:O fans of different expectations and buried the course of deep Bioware games.

Some folks are very passionate about this game and its predecessor. You'd be surprised how many refuse to accept that people can (and do) actually like both games.

I thought it was too railroaded and mediocre. And the story (particularly act 3) to me was atrocious. The forced tragedy for the sake of tragedy was irritating as well. Not to mention Hawke's inability (well my Hawke's anyway) to do anything right without making things worse.

The story annoyed me, the way the family was just discared annoyed me and Hawke annoyed me. So that's why it was so bad.  

I don't think people who like it are dumb or anything though. Just different strokes for different folks. ...that said I don't hate the game. There's some good bits about it. But I feel it was a pretty poor showing especially for BW.

I didn't hate the game. I gave it around a 7-8

The reused areas, fetch and deliver quests, and enemies materializing out of nowhere did bug me.

Also the jaunt in the Deep Roads left me unsatisfied.


I rate the Legacy DLC higher.
