Hi guys first post here.
First things first.  I am a huge Miranda fan.  Coming from a difficult background and progressing to an even more difficult adult life (emotionally speaking because of her father and then the inner issues with Cerberus), she has an incredible story.  However, I find her loyalty to Cerberus a problem and especially when I played with my file that romanced Liara, I couldn't help but feeling guilty for romancing Miranda.  What are the speculations about the results of this action.

And don't worry, I did another playthrough that made sure I stayed loyal.

Well if you play LotSB then Liara brings it up during one of the scenes if you hit one of the Paragon interrupts. I didn't do that myself but once you do it you can ask about your relationship and she'll comment on your relationship with Miranda or whoever it may be.

Hard to say, but when I tried the "Can't I have both of you" option in ME, Liara seemed ok with it while Ashley blew her stack. Which brings up some interesting quesitons about Asari sexuality. In ME2 however, it seems that Asari bondmates are more conservative. So its really anybody's guess.

You don't have to feel guilty about romancing miranda. At the end of LOTSB, you have the choice of calling off your relationship with liara, and she ends up being totally cool with it if you do.....so you're safe lol.

By having that convo with Liara in LotSB, I didn't start any romance with her right? I'm still faithful to my Normandy LI? (I didn't play ME-1 either).

To problem with Miranda's loyalty to Cerberus: tried taking her to final boss? The questions will end fast.

To "repercussions of cheating": if you said in LotSB you don't want to continue with Liara, it will likely stay so. If you'll break up with Miri and say Liara you want to be with her, it also likely will be "what written on tin". Middle ground is a question - especially with Liara who wasn't noticed in going nuts from jealousy before - but it was said "cheating on your ME1 LI will have repercussions".

One of the devs (can't remember which) said that some characters will react more strongly than others to Shepard seeing someone else. Seeing as how Liara didn't seem to be too bothered by love triangles in ME1 or LotSB, I'm guessing the same is true in ME3, but that Ashley or Kaidan blow their stack.

Comparing jealousy scenes from ME1, I'd say Ashley will react stronger than Kaidan. But there always is Jack...

Liara actually WAS mad at Shepard romancing someone else -- Balcony scene after fighting Tela Vasir --. Though because this was in a DLC the devs didn't want to resolve this entire situation here and instead save it for ME3 like all the other LI's.

On topic: I imagine certain characters will respond more strongly than others, though by the way they behaved on Horizon it looks like a possible romance between Shepard/ VS is over. I doubt the LI's will simply storm in and ask Shepard what he's/she's been doing, rather they'll both come up to you and force you to choose, with the one you don't choose getting rather hostile.

Edit: If not choosing Jack I'd suggest Shepard putting on some thicker armor, even though she's said to be different in ME3 I doubt she's emotionally stable by now.

Sure, Liara gets a little jealous in LotSB but all things considered her reaction is rather tame. And she also gets over it fairly quickly.

I'd bet on Ashley handling it a lot worse than Liara in ME3.

:) Always welcome to see another one of us. Miranda is awesome.

In case you haven't noticed: there is a way to make her resign from Cerberus at the end of the suicide mission. Unfortunately it's linked to destroying the Collector base so I never get it. In any case I don't think Miranda will be Cerberus in ME3.

and especially when I played with my file that romanced Liara, I couldn't help but feeling guilty for romancing Miranda.  What are the speculations about the results of this action.

Maybe some minor conflict, but Liara appears to be less judgmental in that. It depends on what you want. If you want to stay with Miranda, Liara will be OK with it in the end though she would, of course, be hurt. if you want to go back to Liara in ME3 the repercussions will be heavier, for two reasons: first, I envision Miranda as somewhat possessive, second, doing that makes it appear as if Miranda had been nothing more than a distraction, which would be insulting to her.
