1) DA2
2)Awakening
3) DAO

Loved 2 and 3. But then I played 1 and found out what real love is. DA2 is the best game I have ever played. I loved everything about it: gameplay, story, graphics. It is unusual not to be bothered a bit by one of those.

For me it's gotta be:

1. DA:O
2. Awakening
3. DA2

As for DLCs, that's a bit more tricky... I would say:

1. Stone Prisoner
2. Exiled Prince
(I am grouping those together because they both introduced a new companion, offerred new quests and were very well integrated into the main game because the team left the hooks in the main game especially for these addons... but gotta say Shale wins every time, despite Sebastian's velvety accent)

3. Warden's Keep / Return to Ostagar / Legacy
(enjoyed all of these very much and hope that any future DLC will follow the quality presented here - and even improve upon it)

6. Leliana's Song
(interesting story, although the downfall of this addon is the stand alone campaign aspect which limits the number of playthroughs I am willing to go through - could have been integrated into the main game which would increase the replay value as well as the overall experience)

7. Golems / Witch Hunt
(reused areas and average experience are why these are down here - they each had their moments, but I could definitely perceive the drop in quality in those - again, could have been integrated into the main game which would improve things)

9. Darkspawn Chronicles
(while the premise and even initial playthrough were interesting, getting to experience a known game occurrence from the other side, don't particularly enjoy the stand alone campaign mode - and with this addon, I just don't see how it COULD have been integrated into the main game - perhaps the Wardens having a nightmare as the time of the final battle approaches?)

Sure but I have a friend for example who prefers Awakening to Origins overall, especially in terms of story and characters, yadda yadda.

Oh and if we're doing DLC too...

Origins - Loved every second. Fantastical world with great depth in both story and characters, and gameplay was amazing too.

Awakening - At this point you can start to see some of the cancerous changes that entrenched themselves into Dragon Age 2. Luckily, it was still decent, and was basically more Origins. I still play through it everytime I beat Origins.

Dragon Age 2 - If I was to play this game before Origins, I would have never looked at the Dragon Age series ever again. Shallow? Maybe, but this game feels so much like a rushed out spin-off out-scored to another developer as a quick cash in. This isn't Dragon Age II. In spirit at least.

It's not all bad, but it will constantly be shadowed by it's far supiroir older brother, Origins.

1: DA2 - Excellently paced story, engaging fights, great graphics (PC with Hires pack)
2: DAO: Great depth of story, nice overall vision, excellent mods - but seems real klunky when played after DA2
3:DA:Awakening. Good but has worst aspects of DAO & DA2- Slow klunky pace, no depth, plus underdeveloped new characters

Golems really surprised me. I think its extremely underrated, and offers some unique and interesting content. I enjoyed inmensely the final battle.

It's a wonderful dungeon. The designers should be proud, and Sheryl did a great job with the writing.

Origins is my favorite followed be Awakening, Dragon Age 2 I have trouble getting past the first act because by this point I'm so sick of the lack of story, whining characters, repetitive combat with wave after wave of enemy's that seem to appear from thin air and lets not forget the constant reuse of area's in the bland and generic city of Kirkwall. But i did like the Legacy DLC, i found it interesting, its a step in the right direction but not enough to convince me to invest in future DLC and Dragon Age 3.

I will go with:

1. Dragon Age: Origins (8.5/10)
2. Dragon Age: Awakening (7.5/10)
3. Dragon Age: 2 (6/10)

Why? DA:O (also the Expansion pack) was truly the attempt to become Bioware's Spiritual Successor to Baldurs Gate . Sadly the franchise seems to turn away from classical RPG game play and move more into a direction of an action-RPG with hack & slash elements.

I love them all, but if I had to decide it'd be roughly something like this:

1. DA2
2. Awakening
3. Origins

DLC would be:
1. Legacy
2. Stone Prisoner
3. Witch Hunt
4. Leliana's Song
5. Exiled Prince
6. Golems
7. Darkspawn

Awakening, probably, as a total package, as well as storyline pacing. Only downsides were Oghren and the end game.

Then Origins. Downsides were mage dominance and the Deep Roads, as well as the Fade.

Then Dragon Age 2. Downsides were the story, the questing, the lack of choice and a lot of other reasons.

I don't count Awakening as a seperate game. It's an expansion.

That said, I feel Origins is better than DA2.

Dragon Age Origins 9/10 (The only reason its not 10/10 is that some of the content felt a bit empty a lot of long walks with little happening but other than that it really captured the classic RPG feel)
Dragon Age Awakening 6/10 - Streamlined companion interactions are what kept this down
Dragon age 2 6.5/10 Many of the same problems as awakening, it gets a slightly higher mark simply for trying something new. Had it not been so rushed it could actually have been a good game, Planescape Torment and The Witcher both show how you can make a solid RPG based on a few areas.
