If he says that the rumors are rumors, then they're rumors. Duh.
Yes, but rumours can be true. A rumour is just infomration passed around verbally. It sometimes is true, sometimes false sometimes a mixture of the two.
I'm not expecting multiplayer, but I would not be shocked if it was in.

This is also what they all say, then when you least expect it, they release info on the very thing they had been denying all along.
It's also possible their 'multiplayer' isn't the usual multiplayer or they can't say for sure there's going to be multiplayer til they can get everything worked out, so they don't want fans to get excited about anything til the time is right. And just because the Mass Effect teams isn't working on multiplayer, doesn't mean they couldn't have outsourced it to another company like how they got sound effects from DICE.
I'm not saying it's going to happen, but that's usually what happens during this kind of thing.

I claim that a ham sammich is just that, a ham sammich.
Bob claims that pneumatic hammer is just that, a pneumatic hammer.
My mom claims that angry feminists are just that, angry feminists.
Your point exacly OP?

Regardless, it's pointless to worry about it now. If it's going to happen, DLC or otherwise, it's far enough down the production line that nothing we say will really make a difference anyway.

I undernstand, this is the new thread where we all can repeat exacly the same arguments, ideas, concerns and hopes we used to for the last months in the last 100 threads? Yeah, sure, why not. It's not anybody has anything more productive to do right?
If not multiplayer, hopefully Gamescon will give us something else good to freak out over.

I think Bioware are due to start their live feed in about 7 hours, if they don't reveal multiplayer here then I'm fairly confident that it won't happen at all.

Lol @ you folks who are so insistent that there's "definitely" going to be MP.
Equally, the folks who are so against the inclusion of MP shouldn't really waste their time with the folks mentioned above, as nothing will convince them save themselves when they start up the game come March 2012.

Right now they're giving me the impression that there will be indeed some kind of multiplayer featured in ME3. I don't like that at all. One sentence from a known BioWare employee saying "no MP in ME3" would be more than enough to put my worries to rest. Or even a "we don't know just yet, maybe it's in, myabe it's out, we're working on it and tell you when we know". Something, so we know where we stand. By saying nothing they seem to be confirming there will MP and it will be announced later. Obviously it's something the fans care to know about a lot, so why not simply stop the rumors once and for all?
So to me it seems that either there is multiplayer in ME3 or someone at BioWare/EA decided they're in really desperate need of any kind of publicity they'll get. Both options are not to my liking.

So Jesse Houston, one of the main producers of Mass Effect 3 coming out and saying that "The MP rumours are just that, rumours." isn't enough for you?
That said, I will consider this official when Jesse Houston confirms on his twitter page that this is infact him and not someone else.

I'm fully expecting MP won't be announced tomorrow. The rumors all ultimately trace back to some shady, anonymous forum postings which are, to me, obviously a combination of wishful thinking and unimaginative guesswork. Perhaps sprinkled with a very light dash of innocuous trolling.
I could be wrong.
And this kind of thing ALWAYS happens in the Bungie community . I myself, see ME 3 multiplayer to be a pipe dream. If it happens, good. But I highly doubt it will come to be, rumors are just that, rumors.
Unless Bioware makes a formal statement or some guy like Tom Morello from the Halo Reach leak crysis gives solid evidence, there is no multiplayer. I don't even believe a game with a character custimization engine such as what is placed in ME could be placed in multiplayer, even in most to all MMO's the faces and such are set and can't be changed in form or otherwise.
But, I could be wrong. I'm no game developer.

Considering Chris Priestly, and the rest of the dev's total ambivalence on the issue, I don't think you have anything in your favor of your 'interpretation'

Giving an ambiguous answer just provokes debates and sparks the all powerful engine of BSN speculation.
A simple "There is no MP." would probably still draw speculation, but it would help quell the flames.
