An HD 5450 is so slow, so weak, so cheap, that it surely has already been cooked to death from the mistreatment you've given it. It will have been overheated until you damaged it beyond recovery. You needed an actual gaming card long before the current low quality card got as bad as it is now, from the steady overload situation.
.. such as this HD 6670 from Newegg
www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx
or if you haven't mentioned that system being a laptop, then you should have an entirely new PC instead.
If you wanted the cheapest escape possible, dial all settings to their lowest, and the screen resolution low as well, so instead of getting cooked, a replacement of the same kind will last for a longer time.
Here is another HD 54.50, for only $32.49
http://www.ebay.com/...=item5d2f9e118d
Brand New HD 5450, $32.49
For only slightly more than $20 above that amount, here's a card that will still work, at Medium Quality settings, and Medium screen resolution settings, also totally new:

You really need to take a deep breath, and read the two articles below:
Generational Ladders* (and NTK-based shaders ranking list - "old" class markers)
http://social.biowar...58/index/575571
. . and the brand new one here:
What's the deal with Video Graphics Card Naming and Quality Levels?

$32 USD, new, from eBay, so if you got ripped off on the cost, we in here didn't get any share in the overcharges, and, as already noted, for only a little over $20 USD more than that, a real gaming card, admittedly a year older, however, much better, is also available brand new through another eBay seller.

My graphic card is "old" and "laggy".
i cannot buy a new one due to the fact my brother wouldnt allow me to.
I'm kinda stuck with this one.

That makes the situation sound as if there are two separate PCs, the one you normally use for other things, which has a still slower graphics solution, and your brother's PC that he allows you to use for some game playing. I hope you take the warnings to heart; by overloading it, you have been overheating it, and now it overloads more easily than before. Soon, if you do not turn everything way down, it may just quit entirely, and you will be blamed . .SWkazashi wrote...
