There are a few that i enjoy(DBZ, Cowboy Bebop, Elfen Lied,etc...), but as a hole, i Dislike Anime a lot.

Well, I am not sure if I dislike it. Just can't take it seriously on any level. Still many of my friends like it and I don't think any less of them for it, but I can't personally just get interested.

But in anime's defence I also hate most videogames, movies, music, people etc

So what's my point?
Err, try Death Note, Cowboy Bebop, Planetes or Samurai Champloo.
They're awesome.

Love it or hate it anime has caught your attention. I don't know if there's any other product of a single nation's culture that is so popular and debated like anime...well maybe except for DC and Marvel Comics xP

I usually dislike the ones in the line of Dragon Ball, too much fighting and plot moves too slowly. But shorter ones are usually good. Try Planettes (hard SF), Ghost in the Shell SAC, Cowboy Beebop, Moribito, Escaflowne...

The best thing about Moribito is that it's based on a novel, meaning that plot and characterization are really strong. This is the kind of anime that even people who say they hate anime will enjoy.

I prefer manga. I get to enjoy the story without an abundance of filler content. Most of the best stories I read never saw a proper conversion to anime. Tokyo Babylon, for example. The anime I did enjoy ran the gamut. From goofy slapstick such as the Slayers series to thought provoking science fiction like Serial Experiments Lain.

Most anime I enjoyed is pre-2000s. There are newer series here and there I enjoyed such as Death Note. I also still follow Naruto despite how godawful it has been lately. But the days when I sampled all anime in sight and consumed manga like an addict does their vice of choice are long over. These days I will rarely give manga outside the Seinen and Josei genres a second glance.

I can say that about every medium, though. Books, TV, movies, it does not matter. My tastes have become quite discerning over the years, despite the occasional self indulgence into what I know is a poorly woven tale.

Since when is this limited to anime? Have you *seen* some sports fans? How about diehard Star Trek lovers? Every fandom has its share of loonies.

I judge it by the quality of the individual show. Loved Gundam Wing for instance. But I don't go "Ooh, anime!"

Good anime are few and far between. Most anime fans I know take their anime very seriously and they are the last people on earth that would go "Ooh, anime! JIMP!"

I love Anime I can say I have only seen 1 Anime I Hated luckily for me I forgot the name I just finished watching 4 great anime series

That is a very shallow and narrow-minded view. Not all people who like anime are obsessed with it or are "weaboos" as you call them. That's like saying all gamers are addicted and play WoW. Don't talk about stuff you don't know anything about;)

I don't know much about technical writing, but I think that statement was closer to "all weeaboos are obsessed with anime" than "everyone who likes anime is a weaboo"

I like most of 'em, except ecchi and hentai. I only tolerate it as long as we don't see all the taboo parts. I'm a big fan of school comedies like Ouran High School Host Club or School Rumble. I used to like Naruto but now that manga is a mess. I'm sticking to Bleach and Fairy Tail for now.
