In the land of France, its considerd anime.

I consider it Anime, since by rightfulness it is.

I think disliking "anime" is rather too broad of a statement. This is like saying "I dislike food" or "I hate movies". Sure, maybe you do actually hate all movies, but surely you must have liked some movie once, like Dumbo or Kill Bill or something.

In general, I dislike the anime style as I am not a big fan of the animation and art style. That being said, there are some very awesome anime films like Akira, Ghost in the Shell, Spirited Away and the upcoming Dragon Age movie (yes, I am shameless). Again, speaking broadly, I find many anime films and shows to be more style than substance. Possibly it is because they are written and drawn for a Japanese sensibility and cultural acumen that I lack as a non-Japanese person or a person that has not spent time learning to appreciate it.

However, the one thing I do hate about anime is those extreme anime fans who treat ALL anime as the best thing since ramen. Just like cartoons and animation in North America, Europe or anyplace, some anime is very good, but some is complete garbage. Realize this and spend your time and money on the good stuff. *sheesh*

I can just see Chris talking like the Iron Shiek.

 Not hate. Hate's too strong of a word. I don't think I'm more intelligent than the people that like anime, but I'm just want to know if there's anybody else who doesn't like anime. 

Why do I dislike anime? I always found it melodramatic. That, and I can't stand the filler. I don't like it when fights last for more than one episode. Plus, some of the hardcore fans that act like anime is a gift from God kind of scare me. 

I think talking a lot about something you dislike on internet , blog etc promotes hate. What you should do it's understanding why some people enjoy it and not focusing on why you should dislike it. Focus on the positive it's bring in people lifes and  not the negative it's bring to you.

it's like THE fatty hater. They just hear about the 'bad' side of being overweight(in Media, Movie , By doctor and proffessor) and only see this, not the human being and the shiny smile .. Thus they start angering and disliking and end up hating and bullying. This 'disliking' and hating talking on internet need to stop and it's start with you!!!

Anime is an artstyle.  Avatar The Last Airbender was actually inspired by anime and shares similarities to the artstyle.  Therefore, it can be considered anime.

Though in reality the closest it got to Japan was South Korea, who has done all (or nearly so, some work gets thrown elsewhere, but the US)  US cartoon animation work since Heman.

Lulz Its funny to know that all the "American Cartoons" from the early 90's till today are as American as our cars.
