I was on vacation the past two weeks and went "iPad only", because it is has a much smaller footprint than my laptop. For the most part, the trim down was a success.  However, as part of this experiment, I discovered what a pain it is to use BioWare Social with iOS Safari.

It appears that neither the iPad nor the iPhone like the fancy input box with the menu at the top.  I cannot put a cursor in the box, and therefore I cannot type anything.  Quick Replies are fine -- I can type in those normally.  But because of the problem with the advanced text entry, I can neither start new posts nor (easily) quote another user in a reply. Indeed, I had to wait to return from vacation to write this post.

Is this an easy problem to fix?  BioWare Social is a great time waster on my phone while getting a coffee.  However, the current design limits me to when I am at my laptop -- when I should be doing real work.

Amen. Using it on an iPad or iPhone is a nightmare. It's almost impossible to post pics or do anything besides plain text, really. And the menus and dropdowns behave weird. You'd think there would be an app or at least an optimized site by now.

It works better with the iOS 5 version of Safari. You can now edit your posts.
