Worth to pick it on a DS character consular ?
Also my toon is now 7scoundress//4consular and he seem pretty weak. lithning 2 is just useless, for some reason it rarely attack more then 1 enemy and drain a ton of power.
Is it just my build or consular tend to be more effective at higher levels ?
Life leech worth it ?

For lightning level 2 , you have to aim the lightning towards people who are close together in front of you. Lightning level 3 hits multiple opponents at all angles around you.
Plus to increase your force points and reduce the amount lightning costs, max out your darkside meter as quickly as possible (you'll get a force-point bonus for doing so as a darkside consular - it's + 50 fps), and also focus all your gear stat bonuses and your core stats on increasing your wisdom attribute as much as possible.
As a general note - yes, consulars will kick much more ass at higher levels, so don't be dissuaded in the meantime, you will notice the difference with each level you gain
As for life leech, only once you get the second level of that spell (death field) does it actually become useful in my opinion. However, I would still recommend getting force heal aswell (and making sure boosting your charisma attribute is your second highest priority, right after the wisdom attribute), as death field is not always a reliable method of healing, particularly if a battle finishes quickly and you don't have a full health bar at the end of it. It can help out in large fights though, so don't undersetimate it, either.
