There's a topic like this over on the Deus Ex Human Revolution 360 gamefaqs board. TC expressed wishes for an optional female player character and everyone jumped down his throat about how women are physically inferior and how its too much for their suspension of disbelief. Except, you know, you have robot arms in Deus Ex. Everyone over there seems in agreement too, I didn't realize how sexist a lot of Deus Ex fans are.

I doubt the lLazerus project made either of them physcially superior. The goal of it was to bring them back to life not make them stronger. Like said there were very few modifications and nothing to really change either shepards.

So how the hell did Male shep take on that Yahg? No normal human even a military trained one can go against a Yahg in hand to hand combat and not get uttterly destroyed. Neither Shepard is unenhanced. Even the Systems Alliance Military give there marines enhancments.

I don't know how else I can put it honestly. There is a obvious difference in size between them. Honestly I am degrading men if anything saying that femshep should be more intelligent and tactical and saying sheploo should just be a dumb brute.

She has a cybernetic endoskeleton. He has a cybernetic endoskeleton. His larger size is probably not relevant enough when compared with the cybernetic endoskeleton to suggest that he is measurably more capable than her.

Size isn't everything... I've known a few military MP's that are smaller than the soldiers they lock up that do just fine pinning said misbehavors to the floor or knocking their asses out without having to be bigger than their counterparts.

Not to mention most soldiers are enhanced. This doesn't necessarily have to change their physical bulk by noticable extremes to put them on more even levels reguardless of what sex they are. On top of that genetic manipulation for looks isn't uncommon so keeping that girlish figure shouldn't be too hard while being able to keep up with the boys.

I'd even agree, if not for the military enhancements on each of them. Because of those, I'm not really sure how strong Shepard is. And I don't think TIM authorized any further enhancements. He wanted Shepard as he/she was.

While I don't really care to see more physical tactics for male shep vs more intellectual for female shep, it is quite clear that most of the time a physically larger individual male or female will be more able to do more physical damage than a smaller one, ignoring this fact doesn't help anyone.

In the case of the Yahg, it is equally fantastical that male shep can melee with it, since it dwarves both of them in size by a huge margin.


Women and Men in the human real life sense are different physically, don't kid yourself. I personally am glad that this is the case (ehem krogans)

I wouldn't have to either way. The fact that Yahgs are considered more terrifying then Krogan, can put one down in one blow or more and are bigger and tougher than Krogans shows that any human or even Krogan going up against a Yahg would likely go in the Yahg's favor.

It really does ruin the topic. It is a waste of time aside from the few people who can see past the fact they think I am sexist about this. The truth isn't always what people want to hear or what is politically correct.

 Regarding mokponobi to be honest even if soilders are genetically enhanced why isn't fem shep as tall and bulky as sheploo. Hm? Gentically enhanced to their already set frames. They can probably enchance their strenthgh, but in a larger being there is more space and muscle for enhancement.

There is no logical disagreement or atleast for the mostp art. It is just a bunch of people crying sexist and making up gentic altercations in their heads. My opinion is mere fact theirs is speculation.

By saying your opinion is fact doesn't make it an opinion.

Male Shep is possibly physically superior but so much so that it would make a difference. They are obviously close enough that most situations can be handled the same way. The only true difference is paragon and renegade. I prefer it that way since it makes things less complicated.

I actually agree. Women and men aren't identical. Women are 'weaker' than men. Not saying that there aren't thousands of women that are stronger than many men, but they really shouldn't be identical.
