all of the countries shown are countries where religion has been around for thousands of years. In these country's religion, homosexuality is wrong. It is going to probably take decades or a century before they change there tolerance. Not everyone over in the middle east is going to change Ideals that were created centuries ago.

I come from Scotland. I went to a Catholic school. We first had an official written down code of law in 1124 A.D. under King David I. We have been Christian since the fourth century A.D. and continue to be a Christian country. No law in this counry today allows the torture or abuse, verbal or other wise, of anyone who is gay.

Not one page in the Catechism allows for homosexuals to be treated in such a manner, they may be considered sinners but they are God's children just as much as anyone else. To suggest otherwise or to make excuses for anyone to be treated in such a manner is discusting.

Some of the countries shown above, where countries in Africa. Some of the people that live in Africa are tribal, and follow a religion that has been unchanged for thousands and thousands of years. For them to just change! That will take time.

Rocket Man, I was homeschooled in a Catholic household, given secondary education with other Catholics going for their highschool certificates, and am now attending a Catholic university and I just wanna say: You're full of sh!t, Catholic schools have typing and grammar courses, you can't do either.

you still can make errors. this is only a forum. not a college report.

As was said before, if you really went to a Catholic school, you wouldn't even have to try. It'd be second nature to type in near perfect grammar. You should see the way I text message.

Drives my friends crazy Image IPB Sometimes I just write in prose, just to get some practice.

I think if there is any trolls in here it is simply because no one read the OP and assumed it was "gay bashing",so instead of being civilized, everyone has turned to bloodrage and now this is just a big debate.

It was a loaded OP with nothing good to started out. I'd say go back and read the OP but your probably right most people wouldn't so here it the post where we see they aren't interested in a real discussion.

How would this be implanted in ME3?  I have heard some say that all
of the party members should be Bi, however that means, if say i wanted
to play a male shepard but not have romance, i would not only have to
choose carefully when talking to females (which i had to do in the
previous games), but also the males as well.

Yeah....same BS we always see from the trolls "WAHAHAAHA a guy might hit on me."

Deal with it, I've had to.

Are they allowed to be married to each other, etc?

Not by the Catholic church but the Church of Scotland marries homosexuals and allows gay bishops, there isn't a law against gay marrage, and gay adoption passed a couple of years ago too.

Edit: @Rocket man, they are Christian countries. We killed all the pagans centuries ago.

Well, you didn't have to encourage Tali at all to activate her interest. I think that's probably what some people are worrying about.

But it's a different case with the Bible. I know what's in there, I was raised catholic myself. Thankfully, people continue to realize some things in the Bible are just pure BS which is why there's a progress. But let's not act as if our religion wasn't hateful towards gay people and still isn't in some cases/countries. Hopefully, in few decades any hate will be completly gone from all religions.

Baby, I'm as close to perfect as you're going to get.  B)

But honestly, nobody is claiming to be perfect. I'm pretty sure I made a mistake writing this. But when you "forget" to capitalize the first letter of each sentence and use the wrong spelling of a word (hear vs here) then it raises doubt about your educational background.

I already pre-ordered my collector edition. So whether or not the characters are bisexual, I'm still getting the game. :)

the game is just going to be too good to pass up.

I understand what you are saying, but this isn't for a grade. So it really doesn't matter if I capitalize the first word of a sentence.

There are also some "young" religions (relatively speaking when comparing them to others) in the "hot" areas on the map.

No because I don't know it, I hate fantasy so I don't play DA, or The Witcher, or Oblivion :P I know, sucks to be an RPG fan and hate fantasy at the same time...

When you're talking about how good your education was, it's generally a good idea to not type like you are uneducated. People who were actually educated properly do not have to exert special effort to use correct grammar.

Its a game, meant to be fun and entertaining. Relax, dont read so much into it. Because Reapers forbid if Samara hits on your female shepard or Kaidan flirts with your male shepard. I wouldnt worry about it. Leave moral dichotomies and diatribes for those who have nothing better to do. Why on earth are people getting into their religious upbringing, this is simply a fantasy rpg. If you dont agree with same sex relationship or romance then ignore it, its not negatively affecting you. Keep in mind not everyone believes in the same western god ideal.

this is going to be my last post in this thread, so I am going to end it on a note everyone will agree with.

Mass Effect 3 will be Game of the Year, no doubt.

I only joined this thread to state my opinions. I am sorry If I offended anybody. I did not mean it.

Like I said: I already preordered the collectors edition. March cannot come fast enough.

When I comes down to it, I hope the Ninjamancing issue is fixed, because I'm tired of multiple people hitting on you.

That's why Catholic teachings are interpereted by the pope and written in the Catechism. Basically a fancy way of saying we believe what the pope tells us to, and the pope does not teach that anyone should be killed no matter what their faith or sexuality. It's actually one thing I like about Catholicism, we know the bible isn't to be taken literally, which let's me accept evolution and the big bang theory, M theory and all that fun logical stuff.

You are right though that homosexuals do come off a bit evil sounding in the bible though.

Edit: Sorry misread the beginning of your post.

As far as I know, gay people are still physiologically capable of Penis in Vagina. Gaytopia would soldier on, I'm afraid.

Not nearly as bad as heterosexuals ;)

Or as a better comedian than me pointed out : "There are 6 admonishments in the Bible concerning homosexual activity and our enemies are always throwing them up to us usually in a vicious way and very much out of context. What they don't want us to remember is that there are 362 admonishments in the Bible concerning heterosexual activity. I don't mean to imply by this that God doesn't love straight people, only that they seem to require a great deal more supervision."   ~Lynn Lavner
