I'm fairly certian the lack of same sex romances in SW:TOR is completely on the side of Lucas Arts, who can dictate content to a certain degree.

And yeah, I think SWTOR is handled by LucasArts. For whatever reasons they've decided it's better to steer away from s/s content. Not particularly Bioware's fault, and it'll still be (hopefully) a good game.

It has been officially announced that ME3 WILL have s/s options for males this time and there is nothing to keep players from having s/s relationships in SWTOR since it is a multi-player game.

Actually, there is. For one, these games have moderators and one could get a little ahead of themselves and result in some sort of corrective action if someone finds behavior between two male avatars "offensive". But doing so would be majorly detrimental to both Bioware's and Lucasarts public image.

Not every media product has to represent every imaginable demographic. Get over yourself. They're focusing on making a quality product.

sgreco1970 can support the media products he likes with his dollars.  

It's acceptable for certain media products not to have same-sex content, but I do expect it in highly-customizable RPGs/MMOs with romances where the game is supposed to be your story...  

I personally have bought DAO and DA2, and intend to buy ME3, considering what we know about the game.  I'll pass on buying SWTOR however.....  Romances may not be a big part of the game, but I would feel iffy supporting homophobic developers.

I feel so sorry for you. Bioware brings in a few extra dialogue lines, takes a few minutes to adjust the animation for two or three scenes in their toolset, and does the simple click-of-the-mouse scripting between the genders for said dialogue lines and animations. So much time wasted! Especially given how this is all sprinkled on top of what you're already getting!

I mean, they could have made an entire slightly amusing easter egg with that kind of time and resources! The injustice!
