Anyone else feeling disappointed and pessimistic from what they are seeing from Mass Effect 3 so far?

Agreed I'm cancelling my preorder right now. Humanity doesn't deserve my money now!

Same here, we've seen the combat already and it looks good. Show us something else!

Yeppers. I want to see whats going on in the colonies in the path of the Reaper menace. I want to see the Citadel and see the politicians arguing over whats to be done. I want to see to see the workings of the Mass Effect universe as it gets systematically crushed by the Reapers. Not just a close up of Shep fighting Cerberus (Which, don't get me wrong, looks totally awesome).

I usually find it hard to judge things until I get to lay my hands on it or have read a hands-on preview article. Until then you get a lot of marketing gibberish and image polish. So I'll reserve my feelings and stay mildly optimistic.
This is true, you are absolutely right. I was gonna say same things.

I'm not really sure what I'm going to do now, I think I won't like the game as much as I would like but we're so close to finishing a trilogy, why should I quit now?

Nope. Just look at the comments on youtube. People loved the ME2 trailers.

Wasn't the Mass Effect 2 launch trailer pretty highly regarded?

I've seen a lot of "EA/BioWare sucks at marketing" comments so I thought I was in the minority.Whatever666343431431654324 wrote...

I'm sure we've all followed other games; this griping during the wait is typical. There are those who like drama and there are those who are disappointed in what they see. They create a rukus whenever possible. The worst are former true believers who feel betrayed. They linger like vengeful spirits for years.
You can tell the large majority of ME fans are pretty happy still. We've seen on other forums what happens when the majority is unhappy and its a lot more lively than this!

... Well, I would really welcome some kind of behind the scenes / developer's diary type of document dedicated more to weapon / armor customization and upgrades, leveling up, (new) powers and other rpg stuff. Maybe one Bioware Pulse episode?
That way, the official trailers which are dedicated to large audience which involves people with varying tastes and preferences could focus on the things that are relatively attractive to everyone (e.g. action and dramatic scenes) and those who are interested in more hardcore topics like RPG elements would get something to think about too.
But still, I expect something like ME 2 classes' trailers eventually so a lot of the questions should be answered before we will be able to play ME 3 so I am OK with Bioware's marketing so far.
Also, I really like when we are invited for brainstorm sessions. It's a fantastic way of incorporating us into the development process and expressing that our opinions matter not only as a feedback but also as a source of inspiration before the game is finished. That's the way to work with community. Manweer Heir for President!!!
