Seriously, how do you want us to defeat the Reapers?

So, before I begin, I would just like to say that there are those of you who think that we should lose no matter what. If that is your opinion, great (personally I think that the option to fail should exist, but so should the option to win).

Okay, so how do you want the Reapers to be defeated? Personally, I don't see how it's possible without some form of *shudders* deus ex machina. That's the problem with an "unstoppable" force, if you build them up too much, then a 'coventional' defeat because unlikely/improbable.

So what are your opinions?

I prefer to beat my opponents the old fashioned way: brutally.

By having the galactic fleet fight the Reapers as a diversion, while Shepard goes through the citadel relay to where the Reapers live in dark space, and then destroy the dark citadel, the hub of all Reapers, leaving them all vulnerable to the galactic fleet.

It's probably going to be something like this.

I really have no idea how Shepard's going to fight them. The feeling I get is that they're going to be reduced from gigantic badass dreadnoughts which can simply fly straight through their opponents, to merely being big ships that can take a few heavy hits but go down with much less effort than Sovereign. I don't want that to be how it all pans out, but since Bioware chose to completely circumvent the necessary exposition and clues about how to fight them and instead chose to tell an unrelated side-story with ME2, I can't think of anything else which seems reasonable.

There is no master control hub. According to Mac Walters, each Reaper is a core, which is based on the species culled. The core is then placed into whatever shell is needed.

So get this. We take Grunt.

And turn him into a gun. That shoots Grunts.

Bye bye Reaper fleet.

Ok I know this sounds stupid but what is Deus Ex Machina?  I hear it all the time on this fourm and have no idea what it means.

Supposedly they have a weakness and we need to find out what is over the course of the game.
