I prefer this, too. Along with the custom creator.

However, if they are going to make a default, i think it should be as close to the default from ME1 and ME2 which was red hair. Not that I prefer red hair, but more that I prefer they at least try to stick with the character (intentional or not) they created from the begining.

That aside, I doubt I'd use any of the provided sheps. I'm obviously better than they are at creating a shep that fits the role and Hale's voice.

My hair is naturally black AND brown. That much is obvious.

My maternal side of the family is Cuban, and farther back, Spanish.

The Spanish side is where the stray blonde hairs come from.

My paternal side of the family is Indian, and farther back, Irish.

The Irish side is where the stray red hairs come from.

So getting close enough to kiss me(heeeeeello, ladies), an occasional blonde and red hair can be seen on my facial hair(as of now a goatee) or my long flowing hair.

But its so hard to see, you won't see it in pictures. Unless I take a close up high def shot of my facial hair, which would be....odd.

So even though BW pretty much said the reason why they re did the vote was because from the posts they read it seemed like people liked the hair style more than the color you still believe that this round 2 started because Bioware is threatened by the Blonde racists?

Well I think that is more of an issue of trust and a sense of being pissed off by the blonde haters. Now I'm not sure about you but when I was defending blonde shepard most of the Blonde haters claimed that most people who voted for blonde shep was guys who wanted a hot blonde and those who voted for hair style are a minority. This second round dispproves them.

No see that's the point, it disproves nothing because the balance is fecked sideways because of all the hate and drama and attention it's gotten. People are no longer just voting for themselves, they're voting to make a statement too. So what's this about now?

Firstly, Blonde shepard had overwhelmingly the most votes in the first poll so if people were vehemently against the idea of a Blonde Shepard on principal they wouldn't have voted for her and she wouldn't have won. So the fact that people are not discriminating against Blondes has, in my opinion, already been proven by the first poll.

Secondly, as you say, #5 won for reasons unknown. It may have been for the Blonde hair but it may have been for the hair style or facial structure. So the logical thing to do, having established that most people like something about #5, is another poll to narrow down what it was.

Most importantly, it was clear from comments (and is doubly clear from the current voting numbers) that the Shepard that would please the most people was not included in the original poll. It is inevitable, even just going by the fact that there are 4 options in this poll and were 6 in the last, that more people will be happy with the result of this poll than with the first poll.

Personally, I'm grateful to Bioware for including the options that I wanted to see that I couldn't vote for the first time round. Despite all the complaining from a few people on this thread I think the thousands voting for Black and Red femsheps right now are much happier than they would otherwise have been without the poll.

This is about what we see in the trailer and on the CE cover.   Thats something you cant alter.

Dont get me wrong I do agree, it will help having people know the initial presets are in game.  But I think its still a bit optimistic it will stop all this bickering because the fact is people arnt voting for a new CC choice.  They are voting for who they want to see in the trailer and it will still leave a lot of people negative and annoyed regardless of having a CC option.   Yes people are that petty, were seeing it happening right now.


Bioware should have stuck to their guns and this second vote really shouldnt have happened.    Its annoying for femshep fans who have supported more marketing for years because all this negativity is overshadowing something awesome that has happened.   I find it rather fustrating because how she looks has never been an issue for me.

There's no point in voting at all, quite honestly. Go ahead and give all four a vote or don't vote for any. At the end of the day, Bioware will get what they want.. which will probably be the one that looks so much like the original default anyway.
