This is CLEARLY the superior femshep, any and all other opinions are wrong
That was actually the one I voted for. Didn't mind blondie though, and I won't mind red either.
Since I'm looking at it in this detail I am not getting a bit angry that she didn't win lol. Oh well we need a pirates of the carribean democracy picture for this thread lol.

people are too biased.... the redhead looks weird.
I don't know why though :/
Too fiery? Unnaturally so?
that's it! o_o!
I get femshep is a redhead, but, she still looks weird. :/
Because she's different from the other options, she has other marks in the face and different eyes.
They did not change the hair color of Fem 5 in that one, but they changed the hair style of Fem 2 and put her in the bunch wich go against of the first voting in the first place. You have fem 2 competing with fem 5 this time around

In my opinion redhead face one looks softer and less fierce than the others, but people is voting for her thinking is the same but just redhead.
That ****** me off on so many levels for what Bioware is doing

Urhm how is that even possible? The face is literally identical, same lighting. The only difference is the eyes & hair color and freckles on red Shep.Ophiskc wrote...

I hope to whatever higher power there is out there that this is the last voting session for femshep. The reaction of the community, and above all the media, has been appalling. In what was a purely democratic process that was hosted through the social network of Facebook, irrelevant of whether the voters were, are or will be ME players a selection was given and a consensus achieved. The model (they were all models btw) #5 was chosen, whether it was for hairstyle, hair colour, skin colour, etc.etc. What should have been a pure victory, for finally we had an official femshep, a heroine in a major frachise that did not have the usual selling points of halfnakedness, ****iness or exagerated anatomy, we had a ****storm. The reactions of many on the BSN community was expected concerning some major points like race or faithfulness to the franchise and those opinions were respected but as democracy is the rule of the majority, the #5 template was chosen by the anarchic mass of Facebook but also by the more dedicated members that exist on the BSN.
The reactions of several members and of media outlets concerning the hair colour was nothing but inexcusable. JUST BECAUSE SHE IS BLONDE IT MEANS THAT SHE IS A WEAK WOMAN AND A BARBIE STEREOTYPE?? The same Shepard that has been the heroine of two games suddenly became a lesser being just because she was blonde? What is this? A flippin' witch hunt? Do we, in the 21st century still judge people by superficial characteristics? The epitomy of this ridiculous behaviour was that article in that PC website. An article so full of discrimination and bigotry that if we exchanged blonde for "blacks" or "asians" it would have been full out racist.
If the objection to the hair colour was so predominant what stopped the community from acting civilised and ASKING BioWare to have a second vote concerning hair colour rather than acting like spoilt little kids and throwing tantrums because the toy we got was not the right colour. I have no problem with voting for various defining characteristics of FemShep for through choices is democracy built and above all she is as much ours, the entire playing audience that has played both ME and not only a select vocal few, as she is BioWares'.
Unfortunately what should have been a celebration of internet democracy became a travesty.
EDIT: Take the forum and replace it with /v/ and there would have been no difference.
Exaclty what I would have said in some form or another. Unfortunately I was filled with so much pure RAGE that I had trouble writing down my feelings in text. My thoughts on this second voting in a nutshell:
It was a simple vote. "Here are 6 different appearences, pick the one you like best". The Blonde one won, END OF STORY. voting for the blonde but actually wanting a redhead is out of the question, thats not how it works. If you wanted a redhead, vote for the redheaded one, DONT vote on the blonde one and then go "I want that, but with red hair". It was supposed to be about "which model AS A WHOLE do you like?". But apparently for some people thats to hard to comprehend
*sigh* There was golden opportunity here to give a massive "Metaphorical Middle-finger" to the Blonde-haters, Blonde Stereotypes and other claims that blonde hair automaticly means that that person is somehow less intelligent than other people. Also given that the Mass Effect universe subscribes to the bull**** idea that blondes will somehow become almost extinct in the future, then this would have made Shepard more unique and special.
But NO, all of that is now gone. Also to anyone who is thinking of saying to me "well, just use your own custom shepard and dont use the new default one if you don't like it" then I should point out that that is pretty much what most of us told the people complaining about the blonde one winning.
This should have been a celebration and a great moment, but it turned into a sort of "Political ****storm" prejudice, petty complaints and just plain stupidity, no just on this forum, it has spilled out to other sections of the internet.
I have really run out things to say about this whole mess and have trouble expressing myself when I'm pissed off. I am just going to place my vote, lay low and just accept whatever comes. If the Blonde wins again I'll rejoice. If some other one wins then so be it, I'll just accept it and use my Custom Shep then. Just PLEASE for the love of Darwin, let this be th LAST vote and dont let it turn into a similar mess as the other vote did.
I mean no offense or anything personal to anyone, I'm just sick and tired of the mess this whole thing has turned into.

It is a split vote 2 blond options (or close to it.) They simply ignored a legitimate vote. Due to complainers not less. Yes, I am taking this to seriously, but it is the principal of an inacurate representation. It skrewed the opitions of thousands of people. They simply dirsregarded a legitimate popular vote. That is wrong.
Meh I would take BW word for it (if you actually believe them). There were posters who said they liked they voted for blonde shepard because of the hair style and they would have likely wanted a different color. The whole voting thing was a bit pointless but they were throwing the fem shep fans a bone hell this whole thing so far proves that more people wanted a different hair color for shepard even though they liked the hair style. I didn't like the blonde hair color as did many people but its mostly the small vocal minority who were actually very pissy about it. Hell I would have preferred #3 over the others.

Blondie for advertising, on the box, trailer, etc etc
The other colors- Mods to a high res preset of blondie.
So simple, no need for a vote invalidating poll.

Eye form makes a difference, at least for me (perfectionist), they are more rounded and gently going down at the end of the eye, of the redhead ones

It probably won't be out until the launch trailer is out - otherwise there wouldn't really be any footage to put in the Femshep trailer and it'd be kinda naff.Fiery Phoenix wrote...

Would people be crying "Vote invalidation!" if Blondie were pulling similar numbers this time around?
Shouldn't even have to come to that. What's the point in voting if BioWare is just going to say, "No fair, re-do"?
