I don't understand this. Are you simply blind to the fact that the hairstyles are different? Hairstyle trumps hair colour in terms of the look of a person's face.

If they wanted to do this right they'd either not crewed up with the first vote to begin with, or they'd have let blondy won and given us an option to customize the new default femshep as a custom preset ingame.
Better yet, all 6, everybody happy, no retcons.

Well, that was the case after the 1st round. There was a thread that was generating a lot of rage towards the Facebook voting from some people.Gill Kaiser wrote...

Remember that is what happened with the first poll. The blonde shep won and people cried about how Facebook polls are lame and using a blonde is sexism but wait BW actually was sensible and looked for people who actually liked blonde shepard but would have preferred a different color. They seemed to see that as the majority and made another poll so that people who actually wanted a shepard with a different hair color for sensible reasons .
Now that they did many who defended blonde shep are now complaining that Bioware is only pandering to the cry baby minority that wanted a different shepard. Oh...wait a minute. It seems that people who are voting for a shepard other than blonde aren't entirely cry babys or a minority. It seems that BW was right more people wanted a different color shepard.
BSN is the place filled with trolls, complainers, super trolls, idiots who fill entitled, surprisingly large amount of sane people who lurk half the time and then the sane or insane people who try to reasonably discuss some things.

Should we get to vote on the color of the new Cerberus uniforms.
Yes please, I vote Pink with frills and bows. Only fear will have then as they come running onto the battlefield is death from laughing at them. My Shepard would do a little dance and song to tuant them.
or how many tentacles the reapers should have?
13, maybe with unlucky number will make them easier to beat.
Personally I think the Volus are 6 inches too short, we definitely need a vote to decide what the proper height of a Volus should be.........
1cm, you'll never see them coming until it's too late.

I play as the male Shepard. Although I cam sort of confused about this whole blonde shep drama thing. Why do you want to play as a Shepard who could pass as 16 years old? Her face looks young as hell and with the blonde...jesus she looks younger than hell when the male Shepard could easily be 40.
To be honest Shepard looks to old for his age. Shepard in ME1 was actually 29 and with future humanity's age limit up to 150 he could easily look like he is in his early 20s.

The thing is, guys, that FemShep has kind of always been unofficially redhead, because 1) that's the first preset and 2) Jennifer Hale is a red head (or at least auburn). Lots of people said, during the first vote, that they liked the hairstyle so they voted for blonde, but they actually preferred redhead. LOTS of people. So I'm sorry that you won't get the blonde that you like, but I'm not going to get the natalie portman femshep that I liked, and that's ok. We'll both live. I think Bioware is being awesome in that they're letting us vote on hair color.
And yet on the first vote only 5k voted for the redhead. This whole thing strikes me as OFF.
Read the rest of my post.
I agree with you that the poll was poorly thought out, but we're stuck with it now. My point was that you shouldn't use the fact that redheaded Shepard lost in the first poll as evidence that people don't want redheads, because hairstyle carries more weight overall.

He does, especialy on official art and trailers and stuff. His in game character looks no older than 35 to me but the trailer ones make him seem 40. In ME1 I would have said he was 25-28. I just think its funny how Shepard in ME2 looks a lot older in general. Yet now this Femshep blonde looks 16 in ME3 assuming she wins of course.

Oh, I see. You meant "Read the other stuff I added to the original two-sentence-long post some time later." Of course, none of the stuff added later has anything to do with the point Gill made that people were voting primarily for hairstyle.

For some people. I voted for #5 because she was blonde not because of a particular hairstyle. I demand a new vote put up to decide if hairstyle or hair color is more important. Then we can move on to eye shape/color in another series of votes. Obviously we'll need a vote on the beauty mark as well.

And makeup, lipstick color, eye shadow color, blush. Probably should have a vote on boob size too.
