Its not. Many Red Heads or gingers or whatever have freckles and sometimes green eyes. Those characteristics are so akin to stereo typical red heads that it isn't a significant difference.

It's a significant difference when compared to the original face which everyone voted for. And I fail to see how stereotyping redheads is a positive. Either way, the votes were obviously chucked for this do over.

Considering that you are the only who even sees that pretty much tells you that you are in a very small minority who sees that and I'm sorry but I am going to assume you are wrong since I don't see #2's face in #5. Also all the faces are very similar anyway.

Before assuming i'm wrong, just check the high res wallpapers in the M3 page, there's #2 face in this new poll, wich is suppose to be #5 exclusive

People keep saying this, but what if the new vote has even more votes for Ginger Shep than there were for Blonde Shep?  What if she gets, for example, 40,000 votes?  Wouldn't that prove that the majority always wanted a Ginger Shep but didn't feel like they had a 'real' Ginger choice in the last vote (since the only Ginger had her hair pulled back in a severe fashion that looks attractive on absolutely no one).

The vote has only been up for a single day. And it's already up to 12,000 votes for Ginger Shep. I feel pretty certain that Ginger Shep will get more than 30,000 votes.

Firstly I am not "sugar", secondly from your post you clearly are suggesting that those arguing against this this second poll are the hypocritical ones when that isn't the case.  If you didn't argue about the legitimacy of the previous facebook vote then good for you, I wouldn't know I don't spend time stalking everyone on here to know what they do or do not say.

This is the core of my problem with it.

I feel really uncomfortable with the feeling that I voted for the one I wanted in game, and now she's not the one who's going to be in game even after the fact that she won.

Getting my hopes up only to have them dashed=Not cool.

I've checked it. Other than the similarity that nearly everysingle shepard has no it isn't really exactly like #2.
