I think changing the face is misleading with the small photos they have.  It appears the poll is only a competition on hair colour.  However, three of the faces have identical face and textures to femshep 5, while the red hair face has a completely different texture and eye colour on closer inspection.  A lot of people are going to overlook that small difference assuming the hair is the only thing changed.

That's a fairly big difference, especially for people who liked the overall face and not the hair colour/type may be shocked to see the textures have changed without them knowing.  In a way, they took textures from an unpopular femshep face and transposed them onto the most popular, probably because people complained about the mole.

I personally like the freckles and the red hair since they go well together, but I dislike the unrealistically green eyes.  If they stay, I could see the complaints now that Femshep looks too cartoony because of her eye colour.

Well you kind of explained the reason why the freckles wouldn't matter too much. The only time I really noticed them is in high rez pictures. Hell before the high rez pictures they all looked like they had green eyes. It would seem that the majority would vote for the red head for the hair color while others may vote for her or not vote for her because of the possible difference in textures (which I don't really see) or because of the eye color and freckles.

Your right.  I have been doing custom textures on some mods of mine for 3 hours now.  I have taken like five looks and the shapes are identical.  It might be what I have a problem with:  The green eyes drawing attention away from the eye shape and making people think they're bigger, because the colour is bolder/more saturated.

I'm starting to  think that person is screwing with me.

The way I see it....

The first poll was there to see which hairstyle everyone preferred.

And now, we get a different poll with the same hairstyle but with various hair colors.

I don't see the problem here.

Well, if its like a runoff election, we should've known there would be a runoff election BEFOREHAND.

We didn't.

Springing this on us is wrong, and I don't like it one bit.

Don't give me a choice if you're not going to follow it anyway.

Your choice is still an option. It's just that others prefer something else.

What incentive do I have to vote though? When they could just as easily ninja poll us again?

Hell, I'm almost willing to believe that the only reason Blondie is going to lose is because those who actually voted for her now don't have the urge to vote again.

I'm not believing that yet, but I can't help but feel that at a later point, that's what my opinion is going to be.

I still think that if the blonde was winning this time, no one would be crying about there being a second vote.

I didn't agree with either vote. This kind of decision is best left to the creative team. People don't know what they want.

It seems this new poll is reactionary and was dreamed up in between poll #1 and now.

Pretty sure it was a direct response to the Bimbo Shepard crusade. Which makes its nature even more questionable. I would have preferred for BioWare to not even humor those sentiments. Oh well.

Not that it matters, but did people vote for her for her hair color or the style? Seems to me if the majority voted for her based on the whole package, that same majority would still vote the same way. Or at least the blond would have a bulk of the vote. Meh, I think the whole thing is silly. I do hope red wins though.

Is funny, in your other posts you just admit that they're different but with me you just say no, do you have double personality issues? or you're just a person who hates to admit they're wrong?. Either way i'll just ignore you now, makes no sense to discuss with people like you

No tell me what other posts I made that seems to say I think that the red head has a totally different face from the other faces in the new voting.

Can we stop using elections as examples? Horrible, horrible comparisons that in no way fit.

To those saying that this poll proves that people wanted FemShep 5 with a different haircolor, well your argument is flawed. It would only work if the people allowed to vote in this poll were the ones who voted for FemShep 5 in the first round.

Since in the first poll about 60% didnt vote for the blonde, well I guess they won't change their minds now. So alot of people, who didnt want a blonde Shepard, can now again vote for a different haircolor. Good for them, but please stop throwing phrases like "the majority wanted this" around.

Also people thinking that this second round would have happened anyway and that the first one was just for the hairstyle. Um, than why were they using different haircolors in the first round, why did one have red, another blonde, one black with red stripes and three black hair? If there was a second round planned where you would decide the haircolor, they all would have had the same one in the first round. Not to mention that they would probably left a hint somewhere about this second round.

I feel like it turned out like this, pardon the example-

Vote for who you want to be President of the USA.

Obama, Clinton, Bush.

Lets say I pick Clinton in this case.

Voting happens, Clinton wins. NICE.

So now he's the presi....wait.

Suddenly there's a ninja poll. Now its-

Clinton, Kerry, and Palin. Gotta vote again.

Wha....

Actually it's a lot more like a runoff election, which happens all the time (though not during a presidential vote - though some people think there should be run-off elections for the president, if the winning candidate didn't get more than 50% of the vote) .

True, but its even more like having an election, everyone thinking that's the final decision and all of a sudden, a run off election comes out of no where.  Imagine how many people would be mad in real life if they voted for a President, thought he won, then had to vote again mysteriously out of nowhere.  I think a lot of people would have been ok with a second poll, if they were told or at least given a hint another one was coming.  It seems this new poll is reactionary and was dreamed up in between poll #1 and now.

This. And this is why I'm so uncomfortable with the way its being handled.

Firstly I am not "sugar", secondly from your post you clearly are suggesting that those arguing against this this second poll are the hypocritical ones when that isn't the case.  If you didn't argue about the legitimacy of the previous facebook vote then good for you, I wouldn't know I don't spend time stalking everyone on here to know what they do or do not say.

I'm terribly sorry for insulting you. I'm not saying everyone arguing against it is a hypocrite, but there are some people I remember from previous threads that were in favor of Blonde Shep that are now going against all of the arguments they made there. There are also people who argued over Blonde Shep that are going back on their previous statements also because of this second poll. Hypocrites everywhere!

I'm sure you don't stalk people on here, but then don't accuse me of something that you don't really know and isn't true.

You pretty much voice the reason i'm irritated. And about the eye form you might be right, could be an optical effect caused by the shadow and saturation. Anyway i hope they fix it at least in the final one

Great post with valid points all around. It does seem like a lot of these votes are coming from sore losers just looking to spite number five. Just read the comments. Seriously, try getting five comments down without seeing someone going "LOLBIMBOSHEPARD!"

True (especially about the green eyes lol in poll #1), but remember though that this femshep face will be a high res preset option in ME3, so the facial features are important.  Bioware should really be uploading bigger pictures if you ask me.

Red doesn't look good with this model, it should remain blonde. Else the only thing that'll be correct in this game will be wrong.

Ok so let me get this straight, the only reason the blonde is losing this time is because it's spiteful losers from last time? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Nice one.

The majority did want this obviously. The only way your argument would work if all the people wanting a blonde shep actually voted for her. Its obvious they didn't because if they did the blonde shep would still be winning. 60% spread out over three different choices would still have the blonde shep win if we used your logic.

They are a little different but even if they weren't I think redhead would still be winning. People are completely focused on hair color now, everything else about them is probably going unnoticed.

I really wonder why they don't just leave it in. I mean, the demand is obviously there. I'm sure a mod will fix it sooner or later for us PC users but it still seems like an easy enough thing to do for BioWare. Give her a helmet on the box and problem solved.

Well, why would you be able to? You can't tweak default maleShep.
