From an artistic standpoint, what I'm saying is supported by the Bioware character artist in the first place as they changed the skin ONLY for the redhead and none else. If it was so compatible, it wouldn't be exclusive to red hair. Or they would stick with the previous skin.

The truth is that however much it might seem to validate the "we hate blondes" crowd, I think the results of the poll show that Bioware ultimately made the right call. A lot of people only voted for the hairstyle, not the color in particular. If number 2 had been blonde and number 5 had been a red-head, 5 still would have won, probably by a greater margin. Bioware apparently didn't take that into consideration, and so they are trying to make sure people get a chance to vote for what they wanted.

At the end of the day, it's entirely cosmetic, and those of us who played our original Femshep's through 1 and 2 won't ever see her in game. It's a popularity contest, and it really affects nothing in the larger scope of things. While the chance to stick it to biased jerks who had it coming has been lost, we need not fear. They will provide us plenty of opportunity to stick it to them again in the future. On that score, at least, we can be confident.

Sorry. I'm a Prince, I was raised to keep fighting for my desires and needs. I was ALSO raised to lose a fight if it meant you won the "war", and that losing isn't always a bad thing and is sometimes necessary, but I refuse to sit down and feel uncomfortable about all this and not let everyone know.

I'm just another forumite, like everyone else. But I'll be damned if I do as some others have done(shrug and give up).

I want answers. Maybe I'll get them, maybe I won't. Deus Ex HR is out in a few days, when that's out I won't even be on the forums.

But I'll be back, and we'll see what happens.

But hey, I appreciate the "let it go" sentiment. I completely understand why some would give up.

But I know one thing-

I'm not.

Okay, you're not giving up. What aren't you giving up?  I mean, sitting in this thread telling people how unfair it is only gets you so far. You've established you're upset, with some justification, so what are you going to do about it? What's next?

Yeah, I got what you were saying. I was referencing more the comment about it looking ridiculous. It won’t be ridiculous because it isn’t a feature exclusive to red heads. Even though it is on this particular model, freckles won’t look ridiculous on any other model. It would be compatible with any hair color, as would green eyes. It was probably the artist’s touches and not some conspiracy to sneak in some pigmentation anomalies.

This is low, I wouldn't have care if GingerShep had won in the first place, but getting BlondeShep and then being told we have to vote again on hair colour is just disgraceful. What, are we going to keep voting until we get the answer most agreeable to a vocal minority who hated the idea of a BlondeShepard? Dissapointed to say the least.

How's it fair though that they tweaked the red-head to look more like a natural red-head and did nothing to alter the other models? Seems a little like picking favorites to me. It's less moral guidance and more that I hate to see an otherwise reasonable, thoughtful person waste so much energy without accomplishing anything. Reading this thread is like watching someone bang their head against a wall repeatedly. It somehow feels unfair that after all of that, they're only going to have a headache at the end of it.
