I'm sorry, but do you even hear yourself? That sentence was nonsense. If you want the platinum hair, you can go vote for it again, just like you did last time. If she is the true winner, she will easily make that landslide win a second time! If, on the other hand, people liked #5 the best for everything BUT the hair color, she will lose.

Being sore about this doesn't change a thing. The majority wanted #5, the majority wanted a new vote, and if the majority wants her with red hair, that will be it, period, and she will be the actual winning FemShep, which has not yet been chosen. The sooner you shrug off this hateful how-dare-you attitude, the happier you'll be. Stereotyping default-Jane fans is certainly no better than stereotyping video game blondes.

You'll win no votes for Blondie by crying foul about this fictional vocal minority which somehow brainwashed and held at gunpoint the majority to choose something other than what they actually wanted. At best, nothing will happen. At worst, people will start to see blonde fans as jerks and vote against her out of disgust for the argument. Do your choice a favor and make a decent, well-reasoned case for her being the best, rather than insulting people who liked something else better. Don't you think that's more constructive/effective?

It would've been the only way to ensure a fair voting process.

Now, *that* makes sense to me; that's how it should have happened, as it is the most even-handed process by far. Too bad they didn't do it that way, but maybe if they do this again they'll make things a bit more fair from the get-go. Would head off a lot of arguments.

But still I don't get why people are complaining now again.
If you think those things shouldn't be decided by fans, ok, thats not my point of view but I can repect it.
But bringing up a second poll about the one aspect of the winner which was argued most about, while presenting the former winner too seems just fair and the right thing to do if you wanted to decide this by voting imho.

Edit: I can understand that people who saw their favourit hair color realized being a bit disappointed, but if you truely are in the majority you should still win this second poll.

Well, redhead simply looks better.

In round 1 the overall design won. But with red hair gives her more character.

Also, raven hair come in second, but MaleShep has dark hair so why make 2 similar designs.

Redhead FemShep matches up beautifully with the "N7" design and, though too obviously photoshopped ATM (hopefully there'll be further tweaking), still looks damn cool.

Additionally, it's more than clear from the current voting that those who wanted a different hair colour on #5 are, indeed, more numerous than the vocal minority who spoke up the first time around. I'm going to have no issue with the result of the second poll and I'm still very much looking forward to the trailer.

That said -- as has been pointed out over and over and over -- this second round remains galling because whatever the actual reasoning behind it, in coming when it did, it appears to have been solely prompted by what are frankly outrageous comments and, in so doing, appears to justify them.

And that just... well, it bothers me. Sorry. It's not really a question of my being able to "deal with" a colour other than blonde.

The level of rage in this thread surprises me. I originally voted for beautiful POC shep. She was gorgeous. But, she didn't win and I was disappointed, but still thrilled that we got a femShep on marketing material at all.

I was very grateful for the second round as so many people commented on liking the hair style more than the colour.

It doesn't matter, however, in the end. Both my femSheps look nothing like it and that's what character creator is for.

It's a concept painting.  You can be assured that her in-game appearance will look fairly different.

I'm sure everyone who 'only voted for the hairstyle in the first place' are ecstatic... but what about the people that voted for BLONDE and would have changed their vote to a different hairstyle would they have known this second vote would have come?

I think most people are failing to take into account that this is JUST for marketting and art purposes and you will NOT be forced to use this Shepard for ingame. I too, am just happy that fem!Shep is FINALLY getting attention, and as long as she looks like she can kick ass (so not the Rihanna!Shep), I don't care what she looks like.

Not chosing sides here because the other side was worse going out of their way to call the blonde option a terrible choice and anyone who uses it shouldn't be allowed to vote.

When people make Facebook profiles saying that this vote shouldn't count simply because blonde is winning.

The way EVERYONE has been treating this stupid poll makes shake my head in shame.  The game is 7 months away and the biggest deal is what kind of hair femshep is going to have on a stupid box that many people wont even have.

No I don't have any sympathy for any side because all its doing is making me wish they'd scrap the whole damn thing and keep Sheploo in all the marketing.

There is just the difference that people hated because blonde won, now people hate because their winner has been thrown in the garbage.
I fully support any voted winner in such contests, redhead included in this one, i just find it a wrongdoing to ****** on everyone who was happy with the original result.

I really don't think it is pissing on people who were happy with the original vote, honestly. I think that feedback led them to this second round and as the blonde shep is getting the least amount of votes, it bears that out. Moreover, their goal was to promote the most popular image, liked by the most people. If BlondeShep was that person, she would have nailed the second round, too.

Alot of people didn't know about the fist poll too. I still can't see why a winner should ripped down and replaced because one section of were unhappy.

Well strictly speaking BW distorts the public vote with this 2nd poll...because they didn't announce there would be a 2nd poll for hair color in the first place, only the ppl who choose blonde shep in the first poll for the hair*style* got their votes counted.

If you picked FemShep #5 from the first poll because she was blonde (but perhaps liked another hairstyle better) BW just sc**wed you out of your vote.

Personally I don't mind much (though probably only because the vote is going my way *g*)
