I just realized that Ginger Shepard could also be known as Red Five.
This was meant to be.
This is my favourite post on the BSN today.

I just hope Bioware comes to their senses and cancels this last poll.

Now we have a second poll where the blonde vote is split, the ginger one has had extra attention applied to her giving her a unique look over the other 3 and it comes on the back of a huge anti-blonde campaign. Hell where are the people that complained that "face book isn't legitimate" and "people shouldn't be allowed to vote for femshep on facebook" people now ? All of a sudden because red hair is winning the facebook poll is legitimate again is it ?
Bioware has completely screwed up the promotion of femshep already. As an avid femshep fan I actually want them to go back to ignoring her, because if this is the best Bioware can do then it just isn't worth it.

Just get yourselves a blonde gf in RL already instead of complaining about your virtual one -.-

This is absolutely childish. If you can't win then nobody should be happy? Even if the blonde colors were united, it would still be in third place.
Yeah they aren't complaining now because THEIR choice is winning. Isn't it funny how they literally went out of their way to scream how it was stupid to allow facebook users to vote for femshep, it was stupid to allow males to vote for femshep it should only be women voting. Yet now because their preferred choice is winning all of a sudden everything is legitimate and right againAlphaJarmel wrote...
The reason people still aren't complaining about FB is that red is the current default Femshep's color and so if they had posted the second poll on BSN, I doubt the results would be any different then they are now. Heck it would probably be more lopsided.
A majority do not want a ginger femshep, the polls do not give ginger shep a majority just like femshep 5 did not have a majority. You just re-inforced my point, if you don't get what you want then **** to Bioware and they will cave in and do it all over again till you do get what you want.AlphaJarmel wrote... A majority of people do not want blonde. Simple as that. Bioware got a ton of emails saying people did not want blonde so they did another poll and those emails were correct. They did the right decision.
Why should I ? After all the ones wanting a ginger haired shepard didn't "get over it and move on" did they ? No they ****ed and screamed till they got what they wanted.AlphaJarmel wrote...
Seriously get over it and move on.

This is absolutely childish. If you can't win then nobody should be happy? Even if the blonde colors were united, it would still be in third place. Also people are allowed to 'vote' more than once. Not to mention they are two separate colors. I personally prefer the darker/dirty blonde over the lighter version and would only vote that. The 'extra' attention was making it so the eyes would somewhat match the hair. The blondes got the blue eyes so the reds got the green. Both stereotypical. Only the blacks gots screwed over but blue is a pretty universal color for eyes. Freckles are so small of a detail that I doubt most people noticed.
The reason people still aren't complaining about FB is that red is the current default Femshep's color and so if they had posted the second poll on BSN, I doubt the results would be any different then they are now. Heck it would probably be more lopsided.

The first poll simply said 'vote for the femshep you want tosee in the game', no talk of 'vote for the face you want to see' or first round voting or anything like that. It was clear cut, we were voting for the FemShep we wanted to see as the canonical choice.
Who is to say this poll reflects what the public want ? If you can claim that the first poll didn't reflect what the public want then this poll which is using the same mechanism is as "equally invalid" then.AlphaJarmel wrote...
Well apparently a sizable population of the people who voted 5 last time around did not want blonde. So the first poll apparently didn't reflect what the public wanted.
charmingcharlie wrote... I doubt they would be complaining even if blonde was winning again because unlike the first poll, this is only about hair color. The first poll had substantial differences that influenced people's opinions. Also yes it's their choice that's winning which represents the largest portion of the population.
No I want them to adhere to the FIRST poll like they were going too. That poll showed that 32,000 wanted FemShep 5.AlphaJarmel wrote...
So you want to force a color on people that most apparently do not want because you feel your sense of honor was somehow violated. Ok.
Yes they did, the first poll clearly stated "vote for the femshep you WANT IN THE GAME". I think that is pretty damn clear to me.AlphaJarmel wrote... Also they never stated that they weren't going to do another poll over something else. Lawyer-talk but completely accurate.

*sigh* Have completely missed the whole "Vote for FemShep" thing (Round 1) and am not taking part in the Round 2 because...
I absolutely and positively AM NOT FOND OF (read, understatement) any of the options presented (from Round 1 OR Round 2) and much, MUCH prefer the default FemShep look we've had in ME and ME2 to date (with a possible hair style and colour adjustment here or there, maybe even add a scar or two). My only consolation is that I very much HOPE I will indeed be able to customize my FemShep in ME3 to get that default ME and ME2 preset... and if not, guess default MaleShep will be my only ME3 experience*.
ME and ME2 FemShep rocks and is a total badass. I have no desire whatsoever to play ME3 with a Barbie.
(yes, I know, totally missed the boat with this argument, been spending too much time over at the DA forum and not poking my head in the ME forum enough)
PS. *Which will be a shame indeed, as I ADORE Jennifer Hale, so I very much hope that Bioware won't screw this up. By all means, have the Barbie option (for what exact reason, I am not quite sure, but whatever) but also keep the continuity alive and give us the option to have our badass FemShep.

You want a poll on the freckles or eye color? Go ahead but I can already tell you the results for that.
AlphaJarmel wrote...
No that poll showed that 32,000 wanted that particular hairstlye for 5. Of that 32,000 some people voted for the haircolor in addition to the hairstyle while others just voted for that hairstyle.
charmingcharlie wrote...
Again that line doesn't preclude there being a second poll. In addition, they never designated what parts of the femshep they would use in the game. You assumed, incorrectly, everything from the femshep would be included in the game based off that line.
charmingcharlie wrote...
No the poll showed that 32,000 wanted Femshep 5 end of discussion that is what the first poll shows. Anything else is speculation.

So where are they now? If they were that dedicated to that character they should have stormed the second poll and made it clear she won from the start.
Maybe a fair few feel like I do in that it is a complete waste of time voting so they aren't bothering to vote. I made my voice heard in the first poll Bioware chose to ignore it and 32,000 other votes and do a do over. So why the hell would I want to vote again when in all likelihood if it doesn't turn out how "some" want it they will do yet another "do over".justgimmedudedammit wrote...
