This new poll is pretty much making all the defense for blondes worthless and just making those douchey blonde stereotype haters happy.

Well, them and the people who actually want a different hair color for GOOD reasons. Happy for those of you who don't stereotype blondes.

But honestly, I want her blonde in this game. Not only does she look good, but it sticks it to those crazies who think a blonde FemShep is the end of the World.

As someone with black and brown hair with stray blonde and red hairs due to my background and ethnicity, I try to support everyone and look at all sides.

But I feel like the fight to defend blondes is now moot.


Exactly...as moot as defending hip-hop on this site. This forum has a majority kind of person. We all know. 

I never thought I'd see the day when people discrimanate against hair color like this.

Would be ideal. You see the signature N7 armor and can imagine your own custom Shepard under the helmet, but now there will be a figure that not all players can relate to.

I don't see why the pro-blonde people have a problem with this. They're the ones that kept saying its about what the majority thinks. I think they just assumed the majority agree with them at the time. This is how Democracy works, everyone keeps voting until we have a winning solution that no one is happy with.

I tried to get it through people's skulls that their ideas were unfounded and nonsensical, and I hoped a Blonde FemShep would help drive my point home.

It seems now that may not happen.

So I'm sorry if you take anymore vitriol from people like that PCGamer article writer.

We can hope Blondie wins, but at this point, I doubt it. I think its between Black and Red.

Helmeting wouldn't hide the gender (unless they gave Shep some shapeless androgynous armour as well)

I voted Red. It's closest to default Jane. And i like the freckles.

Besides, are there more video game heroines w/ red hair? I'm trying to remember. From wat I recall they usually seem to be black or blonde......if not, then I think it would make FemShep stand out more

I imagine people will just think you spelled Shepard wrong.

Personally, I think the original blonde femShep looks the most badass. But I voted for the dark brunette because she is the one I want the most.

I just don't want the new default femShep locked for editing (unless you mod the PC version) like they did with Lady Hawke. I don't care which one really wins as long as I can take the base and change hair and eye color. :D

Well, I think the reason blonde supporters have issues with it(besides the defense of blondes now being worth nothing) is this-

30,000 votes for Blondie.

3,000 comments for Blondie.

(estimate) 1,000 comments hoping for new hair color.

So you've got a fraction of the people actually wanting something OTHER than blonde hair.

Now then-

What if all 30,000 commented?

Lets use the previous ratio. That means 1/3rd of the Blonde voters wanted a new hair color.

Is that enough for a new poll? You decide.

Bioware decided. They deem it enough to have a second vote.

I kind of get where you're coming from, but surely the ideal outcome would be to be left with a FemShep that the majority is happy with, rather than making some kind of moral stand just because of forum drama?

Exactly. Don't be angry because it turns out the majority doesn't actually want blonde, it's not an attack against blondes nor is it catering to blonde haters. If you want blonde, vote for it just like before. I'm a little disappointed because now the FemShep trailer will take longer to come out! Image IPB

Bravo Bioware, my only issue with this contest was that option #5 in the last contest had the best haircut, regardless of hair color.

now you give us the opportunity to determine color. This is a nice touch, thank you!
