Nothing to do with the legitimacy of one's claim: perhaps.  Nothing to do with numbers?  Absolutely incorrect.

The second vote came due to the number of people complaining, not just that they were complaining.

Hm well thanks for thinking I am 14 but I am considerably older than that.  I would ordinarily agree there are more important things in the world.  But hey ginger fans didn't think that way did they ?  Nope they didn't like the result of the first poll so they ****ed and moaned till they got Bioware to do a "do over".  Now you are telling others that WE should just "accept" it now when ginger fans didn't.

I know, bringing real life politics into this is bad, but there's a clear similarity between your response and the response of people in the example I'm going to use.

In New York City, Mayor Bloomberg ran for a third term after two separate votes on term limits.  The result of those votes was that any public servant in NY would serve a max of two terms.  Bloomberg ran against that and many people, rather than going to the polls to vote him out of the race, stayed home.  Now Bloomberg is mayor for a third term.  Whose fault is that?  The ones who voted or the ones who opted out of voting like you have expressed repeatedly?  

And on top of that, you have the audacity to complain?  If you give up your right/priviledge then what makes you think you or anyone that shares your views has a leg to stand on?  Talk about immature behavior.  You accuse others of whining and being immature and this is the behavior you exhibit?  I had my tantrum, but at least I voted.  I was a contributing member to getting what I wanted.  You on the other hand are happy in sitting it out and complaining about something you won't take part in. 

You seriously need a generous helping of "GROW UP" and "DEAL WITH IT".  No one lives or dies by this vote.  It's not a life or death battle.  Once again, GROW UP represent the example you wanted us to follow when you were getting what you wanted.

Well if Casey Hudson is getting emails every day from a single person complaining about not getting blonde shepard, then he's not going to change the vote based on that one person, no matter how obnoxious they get.
Numbers really do make a difference here.

Not everyone who wanted a redhead is psychotic about blondes. That was a vocal minority. There were many more reasonable people who just preferred red to blonde. I have a feeling that it was those people that convinced Bioware to make the second vote, rather than the crazy haters.

The entire scenario is absurd. Bioware should take some artistic license and decide themselves.

I'm torn about Bioware. On the one hand, they have the most whiny, unpleasable fanbase imaginable, and I kind of want those whiners to be given a huge middle finger by Bioware.

On the other hand, almost every single time Bioware has choses to address problems brought up by whiners, they have ended up making a better game. It's uncanny.

I like the Raven more, BUT default femshep in ME1 and 2 is redhead, so I'm okay with her winning.

DA2's actual problems were caused by a severe lack of development time, mostly. Most things were YMMV.

I actually liked DA2 quite a bit. The combat was a lot more fun than the first game.
