Yeah...I see you don't have DA2 activated in your profile. After that statement I know why.
DA2 was actually pretty fun and Bioware did adress some problems but they definitely needed more time with the game and fix the inventory system.

On the other hand, almost every single time Bioware has choses to address problems brought up by whiners, they have ended up making a better game. It's uncanny.
I only just started DA: Origins this week. I'll get to DA2 once I'm done.
Problem is that DA: O is more of a 'classic' RPG than ME is. And by 'classic' I mean 'horrible gameplay' - rolling for damage, inputting stats, etc. If DA2 is more of that, I may not have the strength to play it, incredible storytelling or no.
Actually, come to think of it, the real reason DA:2 isn't in my activated list is because when I went to buy it on Steam, it wasn't there. Now I have to decide if I will brave the horrors of Origin, buy the physical copy, or do without. I'd really rather have Steam.

DA2's actual problems were caused by a severe lack of development time, mostly. Most things were YMMV.
I don't know what the DA:O community's suggestions were for DA2, but things like gutting the item system, Hawke-sexuals, revamping the Darkspawn, and many other "improvements" wouldn't be salvaged by more development time. Those in the community cheering for such additions deserve part of the blame.

Dear God, the amount of people butthurt over blondeShep are absolutely ridiculous. "Blonde isn't winning! I'll protest this poll by not voting."
Blonde's going to lose due to butthurt.
Butthurt.
Stay classy, guys.
Pretty much. Seriously, how many people have voted on this "poll" compared to the first?
You know I'm starting to think Eric Cartman was right about gingers.
The butthurt is allwhere. I'm afraid to even say what I voted for lest I get slotted into a camp and slammed from the other side.
And at this point, I believe everyone on BSN is soulless.

Because some people liked the changes, maybe it's best to stick with the YMMV policy. Also, here isn't exactly the place to discuss it lest we incure the wrath of the mods.

So more detailed stats and all of that is "horribly gameplay"? Kids these days. Lock me up in the cellar with the rest of the old grognards.

Really? I didn't hear people talking about revamping the Darkspawn. I believe some said Bioware could fix the inventory a little but even giving them part of the blame is pointless since its not there fault Bioware didn't fix it properly.

Obviously that's not his preferred way of playing the game. Personally I like old rpg games along with Gears of War like third person shooters.

That's why I said the actual problems - repeat dungeons, enemies appearing from magical invisibile wardrobes, game-breaking glitches hiding behind every corner - are due to development time. Hawke-sexuals, new artistic direction, and item system were all YMMV, and not necessarily problems. It just depended on whether or not you personally liked them.
Edit: I should not post after two hours of sleep. I shame me.

You know, by the time it's finished, I'll have just got used to Red Five only for Golden Girl to sweep back into the lead. And I'll be all confused.Sylvianus wrote...
The " poll " began yesterday and isn't at all finished. I do not see why you complain.

Good news for you then, the RPG elements in DA2 are toned down, though they are still there. And if nothing else, you should play DA2 for Sarcasm Mode. Say what you want about the rest of the game, I LOVED the way the dialogue system worked. Nothing better than running around as a giant sword wielding smartass who cracks jokes the whole time.

YMMV, Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2 are both very polarizing, no one is right when they say one is better and no one is wrong when they say that other was crap.

But on the good side, we've gone a whole page of no *****ing about blonde vs. redhead.

But after reading a good portion of this thread it seems the one that's winning is the one that favors default Femshep from the first two games. Think about it, redhead shep most resembles default Femshep from the previous games. My only complaint is the lack of customization we can do to Bioware's default version of both Sheps.
But overall this poll favors the whiners of the last poll. The ones that called blonde shep bimbos and the ones that said Facebook is invalid for voting like this. But since the whiners got their way they aren't still saying Facebook is invalided anymore and that's because Bioware gave into them. If Facebook was truly an invalid way to do this voting than where are the ones who whined about it last poll when Blonde Shep was winning?

No one has really been complaining yet anyway. To be honest this is a good small break for the already crap throwing contest which is this thread.

No but it was starting to slide that way, just trying to nip in the bud before mods lock this thread. Which might still happen if people don't start using commen sense and a little civility.

Well I do feel this poll is in favor of the Blonde haters, but I also wanted to see red as the hair color for #5.

Entirely inaccurate. For saying the whiners got their way that would be like saying the majority who voted for a shep other than blonde shep are whiners and I am definitely not a whiner nor a lot of other people are.

Let's split the red haired option into light, medium and dark version and see how only 1 option for blonde does in comparison.

I dont' see a problem with that. I'd just vote for all three of the redhaired ones, as I'm sure most people would. Red would still win.

There is no two blondes, but four colors, people vote for what they see and like whatever the name you give.Valcutio wrote...
